Hey Guys,

Just for the sake of information, the following tweets were posted today. Seems like something is a-brew'n

MuscleNerd

Hah @planetbeing has come up with a clever way to defeat the anti-ultrasn0w "tambering" checks in iPhone4 baseband :)

@veeence oh heh we think it's a misspelling of "tamper" but it's repeated all over the tasks related to ultrasn0w's unlock method :)

@BrandonBirkholz yeah the "tamber" check is there solely to detect ultrasn0w's message tampering (& @planetbeing's idea should beat it!)

Comex

Hmm. I can't pretend it's not fun to have lots of mentions around release time... but it's much more important that the work itself is fun.

@Pickett2k Probably. I also have to actually finish it.

Furthermore, there has been a flurry of information coming out from these two guys within the last 2 hours - not all of it clear by any means, but it does look like things are moving along. One thing to take note of is that Comex mentions he's not actually finished and that they are more than likely (ie, "probably") waiting for the 4.0.1 release. See attached screen.

Hey TeamDNA: who's "just plain dumb" now?

As I said repeatedly the other day, the "final step" is not release, it's keeping the unlock task backgrounded.

don't provoke him! I can't stand listening to him anymore.

Man, this is getting exciting, isn't it??? :D One user hit the nail on the head yesterday when they said it's like waiting on Christmas morning with a bunch of other 7-year olds...LMAO!

Thanks!

I'd like to point to point out that this is the first actual solid evidence of any kind floating around the dev team - and it's still not that clear.

Wrong. Wrong. Wrong. The background task has been reach as per MuscleNerd. Didn't I already explain to you in the other thread?

maybe right, maybe wrong - there is no truly solid, no uncertain terms, evidence to support either.

I'm done with this argument anyways - doesn't make the JB come out faster. I'd just encourage people to not read more into what they are saying than what they actually are - not that you are doing that Mr. Salt, but it's everywhere else in these forums.

Cheers!
Brian

MuscleNerd said: "Next step is to KEEP the task backgrounded" etc.

Then later he said: "it means "next step" demoed in (ulr) has been reached" etc.

Nice tweets thanks for sharing. Translation it's gonna take as long as it takes and not a minute longer.:D and yagh I agree let's not stir the TEAMDNA nest.

But you were wrong. Just three hours ago MuscleNerd said

Meaning that they did not have the tampering check defeated yesterday. Meaning that they could not keep the unlock task backgrounded. They had a task backgrounded, just not the unlock task. Sounds like now they actually are able to do that (or at least have an idea they think will work).

I wasn't wrong. MucsleNerd was wrong.

I clearly mislabeled this thread. Should have been:

"Lot's to argue able : @Comex + @MuscleNerd speaks cryptically!"

I'm sure someone will even disagree with that...

My apologies Arisian. Didn't mean any harm.

haha - no reason to apologize. It's just an ongoing joke around here than no one can agree on what the meaning of 140 characters in a tweet actually mean.

Please stick around - Im sure no one is upset; Im certainly not :)

Get out your popcorn..... where's the salt ?

Speaking of salt..

Seems @TeamDNA might have gotten a little saltier ?

Between this and the TeamDNA stuff you guys gave me a good laugh.
In any aspect, I hope they wait till after 4.01.
That last thing anyone needs is a lot of people bitching for another jailbreak after 4.01 is released.

By the way, the "backgrounded task" is the unlock as per MuscleNerd. Where did MuscleNerd say anything about a "unlock task". Either you're wrong "again" or MuscleNerd.
