That would be very uncharacteristic of them. I'm not saying you are wrong, it just wouldn't fit their normal procedure.

I do believe they said that the issues were software related. Maybe I'm splitting hairs here. I'm not sure.

They have no reason to wait for a jailbreak to be released. They could release 4.02 soon after, just to break it if they wanted. With all this bad press, you'd think they'd fix the issue as soon as they can, not wait for a bunch of hackers to complete their tools.

good point.. just thought two birds with one stone.. but i agree.. The big picture make more sense.
