Lol on all the misinformation. The Verizon rep I spoke with said when you preorder on the 3rd it will ship the next day. I don't really believe that but that's what he said..

It very well may ship the next day. But, we won't get them until the 9th or the 10th. Apple will make FedEx hold them even if they arrive to your local FedEx dispatch by the 5th.

Why? This isn't a new product launch for Apple. It's just a new carrier. I'm hearing from a lot of places (nothing official) that it would ship the next day or so after pre-ordering. I don't see Apple holding them back and I don't see Verizon doing it either.

Verizon's CS rep said that if ordered before 8 AM EST on FEB 3rd - it will be shipped same day and will arrive next business day. I think it makes sense as all other phones have worked in the same fashion. We'll found out soon.

Because it's an official launch for VERIZON. And technically it IS an offical launch for Apple- it is a NEW CDMA version of the iPhone, something they've never had. If it wasn't you could simply order from both of them right now right?

I seriously doubt that you'll see the phone before the 9th. Don't get me wrong I AM pre-ordering one too. Would love to see it on the 5th or 6th or whatever. But, I doubt it.

If I'm wrong then I'm wrong but, I'm not holding out hope to see it before the 10th or maybe the 9th.

Yeah Verizon's reps have also said (and I could NOT make these up if I even wanted to):

1- Pre-orders for upgrade eligible customers will be at Full Retail and then you have to mail in a rebate form to get the discount eligible price.

2- Existing customers who are upgrade ineligible and wish to pay FULL RETAIL cannot order until February 28th.

3- You may as well wait because ALL of the first run of Verizon iPhones are going to have bad screens. (I swear on my Mother's eyes this was told to someone)

4- You cannot add a line and upgrade.

5- Don't even bother going to a Verizon Retail store in the 10th because you have no chance at getting an iPhone

6- There will be a time zone based rollout for pre-order.

7- You cannot pre-order from Apple themselves.

All of these have been told to customers by VZW CSR's.

Not saying that you're making any of that up, but I do not agree with most of the points. Having been a VZW customer for the past 10+ years - I can relate to their history but it is always possible for a change. As mentioned in my earlier post - we'll found out soon.

Not sure exactly which points you need to agree on? I'm not making any points with that list. Those are actual things that have come out of actual CSR's mouths to actual customers. I've even seen actual CSR's on the VZW forum site say things such as this.

And we've been with them for 10+ years too.

Only point I can make again is that the average CSR's don't know what the hell they are talking about and never have about certain things such as this. They are left in the dark for a reason. Even though that reason usually causes more harm then good.

You ask a question they don't have an answer to and they will make it up on the fly so they don't have to tell you "I don't know".

You spoke with one CSR. Now go call another one and ask the same question and let us know what this one says.

But, we can all agree that we'll find out soon. Enjoy your iPhone whenever you may get it.
