Except cockroaches and flies in the house…Everyday occurrence for me in ATL!
I have learned that it's best to catch-and-release, than it it is to squarsh.
Bugs gotta eat, too!

Yep I agree, most insects don’t bother me. Flies are annoying and are unclean and cockroaches are disgustingExcept cockroaches and flies in the house…

Well, in the house I can tolerate spiders and lizards, except if it’s a known poisonous spider, it might get killed. Both of these when I come across them, I’d catch and release. The qualification comes with cockroaches and flies because they both tend to live in filth, and the last thing I want is them transferring their filth to me or my food. Infestation such as rodents or ants simply can’t be tolerated. There I use traps or poison. For the ants, all insects, Home Defense insecticide works wonders, because the bottom line is this is my abode, really critters are not allowed, but I make exceptions where they are deported, not exterminated.😉I have both!
Though I don't really understand your qualification, I appreciate the sentiment![]()
I’m the same way with bugs. Spiders either get left alone or put outside. If it’s a small jumping spider, I’ll just leave it alone because it’s not worth the trouble trying to catch it. If it’s a larger spider, I’ll take it outside just because I don’t want my cat to find it. I can see that being an expensive vet bill. The spiders I find in the house, I usual offer my hand or a piece of paper and once onboard, carry them out. This is not often I come across them. Same for the anoles that make it in, I have no clue how. I have to catch them and sometimes the spiders. The anoles even get a drink of water before I turn them loose. My attitude regarding ants is extermination, as so any masses of bugs who would be treated with utmost hostility.
