What Apple should do is consolidate all the notifications into the All tab, create a new tab named "Quick Action" and add the following options to it.

New Email
New Text
New Tweet
New Facebook Post
New Phone call (or add your phone favorites here)

and leave an API for devs to add more if needed.

Probably one of the better ideas I've heard. Three tabs would be fine:
Today
Notifications
Quick Action (or Widgets, Dashboard, whatever)

They just need to rename the UI from Notification Center to something else.

There is some kind of business logic involved with the NC tabs. I noticed that after a period of time a notification that is in the all tab starts showing up the missed tab as well. I wonder if Apple hasn't quite finished this feature. It could be possible if something ends up in missed it will notify you again to perform an action?

There's definitely something there. From what I've seen for the most part things that show up or come in while the phone is locked will be there in the missed tab (along with the all tab) and then at some point after unlocking and locking again perhaps they will get cleared out from the missed tab. Still haven't found a great use for it though over just using the more familiar all tab that has everything as far as notifications.

It seems that the "Tap to edit text" feature in Siri replaced it. Bit of a hassle though...

Yes sir, should work for Apple. Great idea.

I was referring to using the apps. I suppose I was a bit curt and I apologize.

Also, I suppose the mobile website would be another outlet.

Apology accepted - I have a few friends from Ohio and they are very well mannered, so your comment surprised me! hahaha, have a nice day!

Tap to Tweet is probably the one thing I miss in iOS 7. I didn't realise how much I used it until I started running the GM. I keep swiping down to write a tweet then realise I have to actually open Tweetbot to write one. Odd that they've removed it when they were pushing social integration so hard last year.

Sorry for what is somewhat of a "self promo" but if anyone looking for a good share widget replacement in iOS 7 we feel our app does the job just as good, if not better. DoublePost is a "tap and go" update app for Twitter and Facebook, you can even post to both at the same time and auto-format for each service. Check out out and let is us know what you think

Mods, if you're unhappy with this post feel free to remove it, but I feel it offers a solution to this problem. :)

just bought it, great great great.

One thing I noticed is that Siri will now post to twitter and Facebook for you. (Can't recall if she would in iOS 6 or not). Maybe this was the justification. To get you to use Siri more??

I'm definitely giving this a try. Thanks!

Yeah, sorry about that! Have a good one!

Who cares where it goes

Leave it out! If you want to FaceBook post or Tweet, use the apps! I am glad they are gone.

At least thru NC you didn't have to open the app. And besides, couldn't you have it not displayed?

Reminds me of the bashing over the removal of Cover Flow.
