I agree, but...
Is this the same Sir Ruben who was going to be at the press conference? Some might suggest that you're more connected to Apple, hence your post discussing people who are potentially trolling for other organisations... Not me, obviously
By the way, are you in a position to tell us what your involvement was with the press conference?
However, despite my slight cynicism (for which I apologise) I agree with the sentiment of your post. Someone else suggested that Apple is getting a different audience with its products now, and I suspect that this is true. I've been appalled at the rubbish spewed out on the iPhone forums recently, and have got to the stage that I'm not keen on looking any more. Surely it must have a lot to do with the iP4 being bought by a much larger group of consumers, and in the UK it's available on most networks now, and that's bound to bring in a bigger MR membership.
Today, however, I had reason to look over on an iMac forum, as I have a problem with my machine. Doing a quick search gave me several recent discussions that were relevant, with useful information and tips from interesting contributors. I hope that I've got what I needed out of that search, and it gave me hope that the iPhone forums will return to the usefulness level that it had 6-12 months ago, when sensible people had intelligent questions and thanked others for good advice...
Roll on!
