Thanks all for the kind words. I called her yesterday to see how she was liking the new iPad 2 (using facetime, of course!) and we were talking about the iPad which matches her white iPhone. A few months ago I managed to twist a store manager's arm into letting her exchange her newly-acquired black iPhone for a white iPhone (she was just 1 day out of the return period), and we were successful, and I really liked the white iPhone. My sister knew this so when we talked about the iPad she said "I know how much you wanted the white iPhone and I appreciate you helping me sort out the iPhone and iPad, so I think you should have the iPad."

I was like "...what?! Really?!" with a huge grin on my face. Then she just said "Nahhhhhh" and laughed.

Siblings. Bah.

Seriously, Awesome story! Apple can give some truly amazing gestures to it's customers.

Thanks for sharing, I often wonder if big company's care about anything but money these days. Good to know apple's a bit different.
