according to ifixit the screws on your model is not under the mainboard. i have the early 2011 and it is the same as your model. the screen can even be detatch without the mainboard remove.

you need to start to do some research of your own. i'm out.

This screws are extremely hard to access and requires removing a lot of cables. Not a chance
 
Just to update you all on what I did.

First of all, I have discovered where the screen is screwed to the base and I'm not going to attempt a repair.

I am choosing not to take a refund and to keep my current MacBook Pro. It's not nearly as bad as some I've seen and it has made me re think and have a different view on it.

I will leave it be, and if there are any problems regarding this poor alignment (such as hindge problems, display problems etc etc), I will contact apple immediately.

But for now. I will keep it. As I said, if any problems crop up, Apple will be receiving a phone call from me immediately and we'll go from there.
