Well illustrated point, but let's put things into context. Not every user requires a large number of peripherals. There are many users who rarely or never use external devices. To some, portability and other factors play a much more important role.
The target audience for the ultra-portable computer isn't someone with ton of external gear and the photo is clearly exaggerating a problem that doesn't really exist. Apple certainly offers other products that will better fill the need for the use of large number of external devices. RMB isn't the product intended to fill this need.
