Slow down? Not Even close. The iPhone 7 run circles around other devices with the A10X processor and runs flawlessly on iOS 10 and even the beta on iOS 11 from reports. One of the most unforeseen and undiscussed features is the speed of the iPhone 7, which has an immense amount of performance.
thanks. I know you're a big Apple supporter, so I hope you're right because I'm looking to get a 7 on sale in the weeks ahead.

My iPhone 7 already rips through any task I throw at it, as fast as I ever need. So that begs the question, what is the additional horsepower for? The answer must be:

  • FaceID
  • Smarter camera
  • On-board Siri AI
  • and perhaps some other surprises we haven't thought of

It will also future proof the iPhone X for longer. The faster your processor is relative to the requirements of the software, the longer it will remain capable of delivering great performance.

It won't once you get iOS 12...trust me. Once your device is not the new guy in town, iPhones start to artificially bottleneck after the second major update (not incremental). That's Apples way to get you to buy your next phone. I know people who kept their Note 4 forever until now and it was still running smooth enough.

Sorry but can you give some evidence that apple do this. An apple engineer would have said something about this if it was the case and if anyone could prove that apple intentionally cause poor performance on older devices they would be sued for all they are worth.
