Let me put this more clear. There has not been one post on a black iPhone 4 brand new with a yellow tinted screen.

But yes a lot on the white brand new iPhone 4 about yellow screens.

I have a black iphone4 , 2 months old. My screen is warmer than black iphone4 display model at apple store

Doubtful.

Honestly, you shouldn't let it bother you. You have a beautiful device with an excellent high resolution screen.

And it it does bother you, take it back. Don't use something that you're disappointed with.

Why not ? Is that hard for apple to do it ?

The "warmer screen" is not even yellow on my new iPhone. Certainly, there could be defects that resulted in a DEFECTIVE yellow tint. However, this is definitely not the case, mine is just warmer, never leaning towards an overall yellow stained screen. Although some people can mix these 2 things up.

Certainly there's a difference, I can admit to that. However, by no way is one screen type superior than the other. It's all personal opinions and how your perception of a "correct" screen is. Blue has nicer blues and warmer has nicer yellows.

If it really bothers you that much to have a warmer screen, simply return it and wait for the next iPhone, it would be more of a hassle to go through a few and still not get what you want (which seems to be the current trend). :p

No not at all but when comparing its less cooler screen

It's kind of impossible to get them to be the same since they are 2 different sources of panels. Don't compare them, they are distinct. You either get warm or blue. If you insist on blue, I'd go and try to exchange it.

I bought a brand new black iphone 4 which had a horrible yellow tint. I went through another 3 retail brand new boxed black iphones (from different batches), and they too had yellow screens (this was in the UK last Dec/Jan). I eventually gave up and chose to wait for the white Iphone, which I now hear also comes with a yellow tint. Am unsure what to do.

They all have a warmer screen calibration, which is in fact the way all screen should be ,but there will be always people liking more cooler screen which isnt the best tint for screen.

Cnet have an article about screen calibration. They conclude result are better with a warmer screen but some people still prefer cooler tint screen

You need to stop lumping all complaints of yellow screens in with your warmer screen hypothesis.

When people are complainign about a yellow screen, I'm talking about a dingy yellow film-like color over the whole screen. Low contrast, half brightness, yellow dinge.

Youre talking about a nice clear bright screen with a slightly warm calibration.

Two different things.

After 3 refurbs, all of which were yellow (but not replaced for it), Applecare sent me a brand new retail replacement. It has the cooler temperature that my original launch day iPhone had. This was at the end of January.
