I'm sure it's better and more comfortable than this.Disappointing, looks like I am staying with my M1 Air.

Congratulations. I'm not so sure. I still don't think it's worth the price. But I don't know.Just ordered mine!
Have been waiting so long for this.
The Neo must contain a lot of Air! I have no idea how they've managed to make this thicker than the Air, and the same weight as the Air, while using a 30% smaller battery... The battery is actually smaller than the 2015 Macbook (35Wh vs 41Wh). There must be so much wasted space in that chassis!
Was hoping for something super thin and light, but this ain't it 🙁
Thanks!Congratulations. I'm not so sure. I still don't think it's worth the price. But I don't know.
Aaa cool that’s very interesting! Yeah I guess it makes sense as they’re clearly optimising for price here. I just wish they’d optimise for lightness again in the MacBook line 🙁Remember, the Neo chassis is forged compared to CNC for Air. This means minimum wall thickness is greater to avoid defects in manufacturing (metal flow). In exchange, Apple can make the chassis faster and cheaper. It’s a trade off.
Love forged aluminum for strength - my rifle receivers are forged.Remember, the Neo chassis is forged compared to CNC for Air. This means minimum wall thickness is greater to avoid defects in manufacturing (metal flow). In exchange, Apple can make the chassis faster and cheaper. It’s a trade off.
Compared to my 15" M2 MBA and 13.6" M2 MBP, this will be a huge weight and size decrease and fit perfectly for my international travels! If it weighs 1kg, that would be fantastic. It's already in my cart, but I'm still hesitating about whether to pay. I already have an M4 MBP, and I want a lightweight MB, but 1.23kg isn't quite lightweight enough.
It doesn't say Force Touch on the spec comparison. Fingers crossed it's the one from the iPad folio that clicks evenly everywhere and not a diving board mechanism. Is there confirmation that the trackpad is haptic and glass?

Instant bummer. Does no force touch mean no haptics at all? I'm not well versed on Apple's trackpad mechanics. Maybe it'll be a simple diving board than. The hands-on video confirmed it is not Force Touch.
Quoted from the Verge's hands-on: "You can click it from any spot on the trackpad, so the experience of using it shouldn’t feel much different." So that answers my question then. It'll be like the trackpad on the iPad and iPad Air keyboard folios where it clicks evenly everywhere but is still physical (so no diving board, phew).Instant bummer. That's what I am used to with the G3 iBook, G4 Powerbook, and 2012 MBP.Instant bummer. Does no force touch mean no haptics at all? I'm not well versed on Apple's trackpad mechanics. Maybe it'll be a simple diving board than.
yeah, I remember those days, also the white Macbook days. That's what I am used to with the G3 iBook, G4 Powerbook, and 2012 MBP.
What makes the A18 Pro in it a Pro version with one less GPU Core than the iPhone Pro version?
I did wonder about better cooling in a larger chassis.
Considering the tax on that and the final Total, that doesn't really feel "budget" to me.
