@Knowlege Bomb congrats man. It's a good way to save money and even be a more responsible consumer. And there's tons of scenarios where this works :)

@Robbosan ha, I also have a Xiaomi wireless charger on my desk, was also wondering if the wireless charging, even slow one, would not damage the batteries over time.

So all in all, the most damaging for the battery would be the fast charging?
I have used fast plug in chargers and have a MagSafe charger in my car now. I’ve never changed a battery in any of my Apple devices except for the time they offered the $29 battery. All of my devices since back to 2016 are operating fine with normal battery operation. I still have my 2016 first generation iPad Pro 9.7 in daily use - operating like a champ. The rest of my phones have been handed down through the family.

Good luck! I've borrowed your idea of going for a year in a single case so I set a Days Since countdown and added it to my widgets page. Three days, eight hours and counting!
I’ve tried the same with a widget counter and made it to 75 days on one case when I had my 11 pro. Ever since, I’ve relapsed into the worm hole of case choices.

This is actually going to be really tough for me. I got an Apple leather case for Christmas, which I'm not too broken up about not using, but also have two Apple silicone cases and I really like the green one. Chances are I will end up switching between that and the Bullstrap leather as time goes on.

After years of buying tons of cases for each of my iPhones, I told myself that I was going with only one case this time (Caudabe Sheath), but I wound up getting a black Apple leather case and a Cyrill Color Brick. Fortunately, there aren't a lot of cases I'm interested in, but I'm not sure if that's an indication of my changing tastes or because there doesn't seem to be a lot of good options this time.

I bought a mini and ordered a nomad rustic brown case that should come in this week. I initiated a return on the mini. While a great phone, I don’t see a need to have 2 phones on hand. I’ll stick with the 12 and the apple sleeve for as long as possible.

Same here, I've only gone in to Apple to replace the home button starting from the 4S to the iPhone 6. But that's just about it. I never had the batteries replaced before. Thankfully I have gotten good phones with no issue *knock on wood*. My father, however had his iPhone 6 for quite awhile. Probably since I got into college and he had to replace his battery on his iPhone 6 at least 3 times. The first time was the battery going bad, and then the second time Apple 'accidentally' gave him a bad battery and gave him a new one for free on the third time. After getting the 3rd battery replaced, his iPhone 6 started to deteriorate to the point where he couldn't make phone calls on it anymore, send texts, emails, etc. and finally this past summer — he entered the 21st century and upgraded to the iPhone 11 Pro Max with a Pelican case. He really enjoys the bigger screen and he is really enjoying the widgets and being able to use apps on his phone that he wasn't able to use on his old phone. He drops his phone a lot due to having arthritis in the hands so the pelican case has been a big help for him to protect his phone. He used to like Otterbox but realized it was too bulky then discovered pelican around the time the iPhone 6 came out.

He also finally upgraded his 2nd generation iPad to the 12.9, 1TB space grey iPad Pro 2020 this christmas. Which he's very excited about. He's mostly an iPad fanboy than a iPhone fanboy, so he's excited about being able to actually do things on a working device again. haha.

Quoting myself because it’s just as ridiculous as my impulsive decisions are. So, while getting my mini packed up to ship out to Apple, I found myself taking it out of the box, then adding the second screen protector from the spigen 2-pack and then swapping my SIM card back in. Then I continued to set the phone up again. And, now I’m posting this from the mini that was supposed to be shipped off today. I think we/I need some sort of support group here. I’ll be using both, the mini and the 12. As far as cases, the Apple sleeve for the 12 and the rustic brown Nomad for the mini.

I do this every year. Cycle through many cases. But always ends up using the apple leather case. So for my PM this year I just have my black leather case. It will last me for years to come.

I went through this dance with the Mini and Pro. As I was taking a video with my 12 Mini of me packing up the working/signed out 12 Pro I started having second thoughts because of how good it looked. Luckily it had already sold otherwise I probably would have ended up switching back at that moment.

Luckily, I think I have my 12 sold to another coworker. I’m hoping they get back to me by tomorrow with a solid yes or no.

Just curious, do you folks with multiple phones carry multiple cell phone accounts as well or just swap SIM’s as you please?

As promised, white iPhone 12 living inside the UAG Civilian in dark green
