iPad Absinthe Jailbreak LIVE! Post your results/issues here@

For those stuck at the white screen I had the same issue with my ipad2, although the iphone 4S I have sailed through OK.
I eventually had to restore to a vanilla 5.0.1 using DFU mode.
I then ran the JB and turned on the VPN and the IPAD rebooted and Absinthe was replaced by Cydia.
I tried many times BEFORE I restored to vanilla 5.0.1 to no avail.
I guess there is something that the JB doesn't like but with a brand new install it worked fine.

where is the link? Im guessing it is the same process as other JBs not like the 4.3.3 one correct?
Same here. Restored 5.0.1 fresh, set up iPad 2 from backup, then re-ran Absinthe. Pressed Absinthe app on home screen and succeeded the first try.
Yes getting the same problem on iPad, not ready to touch 4s yet until iPad is working.
Lost my JB virginity
JB'd my iPad and iPhone. I love it! I had to try a couple times, but it all came together and my frady-cat husband is jealous that he hasn't done his yet. I'm very happy things turned out ok. I was kinda worried.

Got it to work. Killed the absinthe app when I saw white screen, went to settings and just click VPN on.. went out of it and the iPad rebooted and up comes cydia.
I can confirm this method worked for me cydia did appear, on iPad 2 and iPhone 4s

i dunno whats going on with absinthe but when i try jail breaking my ipad2 it sits at like 10% and doesn't move....help???
For those seeing the white screen and nothing else, have some patience.
Greenpoison's website is still pretty much down as I said previously, they're getting hammered.
From what I can see, when the jailbreak reaches the part where it says "Almost done! Click the jailbreak icon", when you click it, I think it's trying to communicate with the servers.
Obviously, you will be presented with a white screen (and sometimes a message saying "Error occurred trying to establish connection with server" (or something like that))
Basically, it just can't connect to the server due to the masses upon masses of us trying to jailbreak.
I wait like 10 minutes and open/closed the jailbreak icon (just hit home, and then select the icon again) until it eventually finished the jailbreak. Took me a good 40 minutes lol.

If things are this slow now, with Windows users having to wait until God knows when, what are things going to be like if and when Windows users CAN jailbreak?

-Didn't do anything except backup using iTunes.
-Closed iTunes, ran Absinthe.
-This took a long time to finish.
-After done, both Absinthe app itself and VPN method didn't work.
2nd try:
-Restored my iPad 2 to 5.0.1.
-Ran Absinthe, which finished surprisingly quickly.
-Ran Absinthe app, and rebooted automatically.
-Cydia is there!
I suppose restoring fixes everything.

Battery Life?
Ignore this post, I'm dumb. Had Tune In radio running in the background and muted. Will follow up if battery problems persist. Sorry.
Been on 5.0.1 for awhile now, and jail broke earlier today. Seems like the battery is draining a bit quicker than usual. Anyone else notice this?

Yeah, me too. I'm not sure how to proceed as nothing seems to be happening. The "jailbreak" button is greyed out on the application on OSX.
Update: Enabled VPN, iPad2 auto rebooted and was jailbroken. Sweet.
No issues for me whatsoever.
The jailbreak process process took about 15 mins. There are times when the blue progress bar from Absinthe does't seem to be moving but you just have to be patient as their servers are getting rammed.
Once mine finished updating, I clicked the Absinthe app on my iPad, device rebooted and BANG Cydia appeared. I didn't have to go into any of the VPN settings
I didn't experience any of the usual problems related to jailbreaking such as ibooks crash, cydia repos not loading, safe mode cashes.
Personally, its been the smoothest jailbreak since Comex released jailbreakme.com.
I did make sure passlock was disabled and autolock set to never.
I also used version 0.1.2.2 which i found here
