Is there any way to get the iPad calendar to start the week on Monday? My employer starts its week on Monday, and the Sunday -> Saturday layout is a little confusing to look at.

I had my iCal calendars synced with Google Calendar, but they didn't play nicely together for me. I have multiple calendars on iCal, but only some of them were syncing correctly. I don't use Google Calendar much at all, but I may try again soon because its sharing capabilities are so much better than iCal.

google calendar ipad/iphone unsynced appointments

I'm having a slight problem with my google sync. I made some changes to a couple of events while at a meeting and I wasn't in a wifi area when it finally connected it deleted them off the iPad. Strange thing is, I thought they were gone so I added them again and when I went to google there were 2 separate events.

Now here is the strange thing. Those accounts I changed while at my meeting WILL NOT sync to my iPad no matter what I do. It's as if the iPad has locked them out. Every other event, new and old has synced perfectly.

I need to find a way to reset the system. I have deleted and re-added the caldev and they do not show up. Anyone have any thoughts?

I too have experienced this problem, with the added note that the appiontment entered on ipad [but then vanished from ipad yet still appears on google calendar] also will not appear on the iphone

Has any cause/solution been found?

All of the sudden my iCal is not playing nice with syncing.

• It has been working perfectly until recently.
• I sync the iPad to MobileMe, then MobileMe to iCal on my MacBook - been working flawlessly since I got my iPad.
• I don't sync my MacBook every day - I sync it manually. So, I'm not sure when this started happening, as I hadn't synced it in about a week. (was it doing it before then, or did it just start since this sync)

• Oddly enough, some events do sync. I made a change to an event title on my iPad and then synced it. It showed up on my MacBook just fine.
• Then, I deleted some events, and some showed up on my MacBook, but some didn't make it. Some were duplicated 3 times, and then that duplication made it back to my iPad.
• I deleted the incorrect events on my iPad, and those haven't sync'ed correctly to the MacBook - meaning, they still show up on my MacBook, but my iPad is correct.

• I figured that something got messed up with syncs, and too many changes on too many devices, so I set up my MobileMe preferences to overwrite my MacBook iCal with the MobileMe data, since my iPad was the correct info, which would mean that MobileMe would have the correct info, right? So, I overwrote my MacBook with MobileMe, and nothing changed on my MacBook.
• And, my iPad is still correct. (which syncs with MobileMe)

So, I have a correct iPad iCal. Which syncs with Mobile Me. Which syncs to my MacBook iCal, which has incorrect information. It is like MobileMe has 2 databases or something, and it is syncing one of those with my iPad, and the other one with my MacBook, and neither the twain shall meet.

I haven't tried resetting everything, as I'm a little nervous about wiping out my data. The iPad is correct, so restoring the iCal stuff from a backup on my MacBook might not yield the correct information.

And, it happened recently. All I can think of is that the repeating events are messing something up. I have a couple of repeating events for every Saturday - clients I see - and on different weeks they have cancelled. So, I deleted that event in my iCal on my iPad, and said to apply it to this event only. I wonder if breaking up repeated events by modifying one event somehow screws up the database/info. I know you are supposed to be able to make changes to only one event, but that seems to get messed up somehow.

(I remember having a problem a few years ago - way before iPhone/iPad - and events were disappearing. They were disappearing because somehow, there were hundreds of instances of a repeating event on the same day, and that many repeating events on the same day with repeating 1x per week, made it so all of the events didn't show - but they were there on a search. I deleted the offending events - possibly even that whole calendar and it was fixed.) I wonder if something similar is happening in that messing with one event in a series of repeated events is making sync'ing not working correctly.

I did a search on the Apple support forums, and there are quite a few recent posts about iCal suddenly not syncing correctly from MobileMe, and those posts showed up in the past couple of weeks (with very few comparatively in weeks prior to recent weeks). So it is either a huge coincidence, or something changed that messed with things. Or maybe those having problems have modified repeating events, and has messed up something?

Who knows, and if you read this entire post, well then kudos to you! :)

How do i set up an event so that it gives me an alert...i dont knw but no matter whatever i do it doesent give me an alert...
Thnx

I thought I was nuts for wanting this too. Glad to hear I'm not alone. I just automatically tried to swipe and was disappointed it didn't work.

Maybe people already figured this out, but I found a secret swipe in Calendar that allows you to flip the pages forward like a book.

Anywhere on the last column (Saturday's), double tap, but before lifting your finger after making the second tap, swipe it to the right and ... voila, the page will turn. I can't figure out how to go back a week though. Only forward ...
