And then there was light :mad:

Your video proves the exact opposite of what you claim. The lag is very apparent and noticeable.

Perception is a wonderful thing and this is why there are umpteen number of threads and growing each disputing each others claims about lag/stuttering.

If he's happy then leave him be to enjoy his rMBP.

No, but seriously. Has Apple released any statements about this or acknowledged the problem?

I'm pretty sure the lag which can be seen in this video is just the bad quicktime screen recording the OP used...

Based on your post clearly there is no problem!

Thanks for the post, I found joy in your ignorance and kool-aid intoxication.

It's the Kool-Aid. Once you stop drinking it, many issues become clear...

The issue will finally become clear for the fanboys with the next release of the rMBP. They will run out and buy the 2013 model and justify it by saying the original had a terrible lag problem.

I am sorry we can actually afford things, or chose to spend on it. Get a life and stop calling everyone an Apple Fanboy. Jeez.

I moved up from a 2011 13" i7 MBP to the 15" 2.3 rMBP last week.

This rMBP is incredible. I don't see any lag at all, plus it's faster, much quieter and much cooler than the 13". Battery doesn't seem to last as long, but it's a much better machine.

Apple tend to stonewall on these kinds of issues. However, it is very possible that choppy scrolling will be addressed in an software update one day.
