Hey guys, I've followed instructions I found here: https://support.apple.com/kb/PH25346?locale=en_US
but i'm unable to make this work.

Under sharing option in MAC, the IP address for sharing is like this smb://macusername.attlocal.net instead of an actual IP. Still, I tried mapping the network drive in Windows using this IP but it won't work.

Can anyone provide me with a step by step guidance on how I could make this work?

    Thanks guys

Yes, I've already followed all the instructions (including what you've just suggested) as outlined in the link I provided in the post. It doesn't work. There is some missing link but I can't figure out what it is (Probably something on the windows side).

The missing link: if you've updated Windows 10 to the newest build (at or past anniversary) then you cannot read a Mac formatted drive from Windows 10.

Do NOT attempt any drive/format changes from Windows 10 either.
