You guys are being pretty nasty. He was showing what could be done, and all you do is insult his taste. Not very "Apple" like.

Different strokes for different folks. And if, as you claim, he is trying to put a Vista theme on there, remember this, a lot of people think Vista was stealing some of the look from Mac. So the end result is, you're insulting Apple.

By the way, the mail, safari and ipod icons look pretty darn good.

Haha wow ok, ya, whatever  More like Microsoft just fails miserably at trying to be Apple, so why not just stick with the master in the first place? If you think those icons look nice then I have to wonder about your taste too! But like you said.... "Different strokes for different folks". So I guess you and him can go hang out together and have one big happy hideous interface party haha! :p

...so after two tangents I wonder if the OP tried a restore and things worked for him...because usually that works.

Beats me as well why you would want to skin your iPhone like Windows Vista, but different strokes for different folks I suppose. Certainly not my thing, thats for sure!!

Please read the thread before you go insulting people.

Vista's UI is quite nice. It's not as nice as OSX, IMO, but the faults of Vista are not in its looks.

First off, I don't think it's laughable to see someone wanting their iPhone to look like Vista. Vista's color scheme is quite nice. Secondly, who cares? Is it worth a two page marathon to criticize someone's phone skin JUST because it looks like a Microsoft product? If that was some random skin, no one would be saying anything.

This is one reason owning an Apple product sucks. I'm automatically grouped into the "Apple = Jesus" community because of discussions like this.

On the flip side, I love how Microsoft users bash Apple users, when they bash their own OS even more than OSX... Windows Vista. Maybe Windows users are worse off because they are negative, regardless of what company they are discussing. I guess they're content with using a spyware infested OS from 1900, Windows XP.

Fanboys, in general, suck.

ok.
Back to the original topic. I have managed to do this with shazam. Interestingly I deleted the shazam icon but the blank remained. Now when I move the icons around to move the blank you can see the shazam logo appear briefly and shrink down to a small dot really quickly

I think it happened when my Internet access was playing up and I tried to download. It stayed on the loading icon until I downloaded again that's when the blank appeared

What is that skin you have installed? Why would you want your iPhone to look so ugly and chaotic and PCish like that??? Why don't you just go buy some ugly interfaced clunky iPhone wanna be if your just gunna make your iPhone look like them anyway?

Maybe he likes that theme, ever think of that? It's his property to with whatever he wants.

It doesn't look that bad. The background looks like those standard wallpapers that come with all Macs.

Ooops! I did it too... oh lord what is I gona do?
