Geekbench result is not fake or anti samsung chip, it is just the worst case when we use nothing else but just the cpu.
Yeah, the Geekbench result is not a good indication of real-world iPhone experience.

However, this result is a good measure of the underlying manufacturing processes: TSMC 16nm vs. Samsung 14nm. TSMC won by a wide margin.

A lot of people use cpu a lot, like serious phone gamers. Geek bench just push cpu to around 30 percent not close to 100 percent.

A game will use gpu, display etc that uses more battery than a cpu.

Without Anand Lal Shimpi on the scene anymore, this is like a wild west town without sheriff.

Can't tell if you're joking or serious. You know Anand ran anandtech and has nothing to do with Toms Hardware or Ars Technica right?

And that he gave up anandtech to go work for Apple...

Apart from all the spurious talk of unverified "sources", which all seems designed to push one stock over the other, you're aware that the "story" he's reporting is basically this forum and all the people repeating the same Geekbench test, right?

Yes, if Anand was still around, by now we would know exactly difference between TSMC/Samsung. That guy could be trusted.

why are some "real world" tests showing no difference while others there is a difference... makes no sense.

You've got to be sh***ing me. The dude was the worst of its kind. Remember how he told SSD+HDD hybrid is a band-aid at best then changed his mind about it when Apple adopted it? Now that Apple adopted 5400RPM HDD, he would be singing a tune of "HDD is not all that bad." had he still been around.

The Geekbench battery results reached 40% in TSMC’s favor, when testing A9 alone, that is, tested with other components (display, wifi, cellular) off.

The above non-Geekbench test of continuous web page viewing, with all components on, more or less, confirms the Geekbench results.

Summary:

40% TSMC advantage without the influences of other parts; dropped to 7-8% on the entire iphone (including the power consumption of all components).

BTW, Apple’s official statement of 2-3% difference may be correct, after all. Continuous web page viewing generates only 7.34% delta. Since very few keeps re-loading web pages, the real Internet browsing may indeed render no more than 2-3% delta.

Go to this page and tell me how credible the scores or runtimes are.

I think that was the point he was making.
By not being around, he means he is now an Apple shill.

I wonder if I should start up a small side business selling stickers that people can put on their phones to show off whether they have a Samsung or TSMC phone.

hmmm there is something I just noticed, the 6S Plus is supposed to get around the same battery life as the 6 Plus, that's what Apple said and that's what everyone is reporting

so why does the 6 Plus get 2920 and the 6S Plus get 4365 on this battery test benchmark, along with what you said it's looking less and less credible personally considering it still remains an anomalous result compared to every single other benchmark.

You know what we haven't really considered? What if it's not just the chips that are creating the variables? How about the RAM, the display, other components? What if some of those have different manufacturers too? Honestly, no two devices are going to be exactly identical.

Just enjoy the phone you've got. If it's truly defective exchange/return it. Everything else, let bygones be bygones.

Those are nothing like 30% different by one single cpu!

I am thinking about creating 6s/6s plus case with the big word "TSMC" at the back

i ain't gonna check no chip!
seems like great battery life so far, i don't faakin care.

There are always some variables in all test cases. I'm sure apple specs are being met in terms of performance.
This test confirms it. Did Anandtech do a deep dive into this as they said earlier?
