had this problem two years ago, I'm waiting until tomorrow night (its 22:29 BST here in the UK, the update hit at 6pm).

hahahaha, you gotta love Apple!

Classic! An update comes out and half the world can't update.

Oh, right, there are "million and millions of people trying to update at the same time, so that makes it alright".

It's 20-f'n-13 last time I checked!

Hello,
what error message do you guys get when it fails to activate? Mine just says the server cannot be reached. When I try to connect it to itunes, it just says "Iphone"...

activation smacktivation

iPhone 4 (and I actively used passcode in 6) finally got 7 downloaded, waded through software update at last, reboot then new apple icon at boot and progress bar to finally new "HELLO" page - and swipe to setup and my trusty passcode is not accepted! Am I missing something? I need this phone! I tried applestore password too - fail. Phone locks me out at least for a while then can try again - agggghhh now have appointment at Apple store 9 a.m. Pissed. Off.

Same here. If you wait long enough in iTunes it will pop-up that the connection dropped, unless the activation goes through.

After to trying to install it iOS7 multiple times I get it to work but at the Hello screen where you set up stuff like enable location services etc I get a pop up telling me something about myvzn.com not being a trusted server. The options were cancel, details, and continue. I hit continue now just worried I just did something wrong.

Any ideas what that was about? I'm on Verizon iPhone 5.

Oh, ok I thought I did something wrong. I had ios 7 installed but my phone was really laggy and slow so I decided to just restore and now I can't activate it, great.

Apple needs to invest in activation servers.

Yes I know... I am Captain Obvious, but this is a big epic fail here.

Seems to be that during the first rush, this kind of thing happens.

Thankfully, having to keep trying activation for 30 minutes is better than getting trampled at WalMart on Black Friday.

Check that you have over 2gb of free space. Otherwise you'll keep getting the failed messages.
and that you have the white version of your iDevice. then it also goes faster.

also ive clicked the retry button for 50 times now.

First impressions of the Amazing ios7...

Oh this is amazing, Apple deserves a big hand...

Don't take this topic seriously please...

I still don't get why Apple didn't roll iOS 7 out in each time zone separately.

We're 8 hours behind Cupertino here in the UK, and while it's great being able to come home from work and see your 10am keynotes at 6pm here, it's not realistic when it comes to releasing software.

I think you'll find we are 8 hours in front of Cupertino. ;)

Back on topic, iPhone updated, iPad stuck on an endless loop of failed activations. :(
