when first opening the Activity app, I just get a black screen and spinning wheel.

any suggestions? I tried a full restore and fully erasing the watch. I'm stumped.

Can you clarify the following:
  • What do you mean by "activity app"?
  • What phone do you have?
  • What OS is it running?

Oh, for your Apple Watch. Ok.
[doublepost=1475599504][/doublepost]Have you been using the Activity App with another iPhone and are now re pairing it with the 7+?
If this is a new Apple Watch you have to pair it with the phone following the instructions in the Watch App. If you used the watch with another iPhone you should unpair the watch from the phone. Back up the phone to ICloud, and re pair the watch with the new phone. Not really sure if this addresses your question, but based on the information you supplied this is my best guess where to start.

I ensured that the watch is disassociated with my old phone AND my new phone. i noticed on the 7+ that when I looked under Health App > Sources > all sources (same watch twice and my phone), when I tap on then, the wheel spins again, while on the old phone (6S) the sources all have data.

is there a back-end database on the 7+ that can be reset?

So the clarification you asked for was in the role of 'forum police' and not an actual ability/willingness to diagnose the problem?
No. I don't own an Apple Watch. I wasn't familiar with this app and didn't know what the OP was referring to.

Nice work jumping to conclusions though. Top notch.

You asked a series of questions (on something you apparently are not familiar with) and produced Zero answers. Its a pretty solid conclusion if you ask me.

The OP had almost zero information about the issue. I asked 3 typical and logical questions for troubleshooting. Then @cvk14 clarified in a follow up post. Then I acknowledged the clarification and thanked him. Realizing I had nothing to contribute, I said nothing else.

I'm sorry if any of this was confusing for you. o_O

BTW, thank you so very much for the irony of your "forum police" comment. Could've have made that up. Fantastic! ;)

It is the ONLY Activity app (other than on the :apple:Watch itself) and is only available if you have an :apple:Watch.

The horse hasn't had a pulse in ages. Not sure why you guys insist on continuing to beat it.

Already explained I don't have an Apple Watch and I didn't know. Now I now.

You are posting in the Apple Watch forum where we ONLY talk about the Apple Watch so I assumed you were talking about the Apple Watch, my bad.:D

Here is a similar thread I remembered from a few days ago. Take a look at it.

I'm guessing the fact that this wasn't originally posted in the Apple Watch forum and only got moved there at some point later likely had something to do with it all initially.

Wanna know why it's here? Bc it was originally posted in the iPhone forum and I flagged it for the mods to move it.:cool:

Like I said. Dead horse.
