Sad, he was only 50.
This may not be true. No other news service has carried the story, and I also found this
Okay, well wow. I don't know what to say now. True? False?
I've checked Fox news, CBS News, ABC News, MSNBC and even BBC news. Nothing anywhere. Any one else find anything?
Okay, I looked, and that was from last weekend. Apparently there were rumors flying last weekend. This story is from today. So I'm thinking it may be true.
ABCs NY station reported it. It's what prompted me to search online for a story.
WGN in Chicago, doesn't even list it. Any other news sources caring it?
I cannot find this anywhere else. Please give another source!
Found this via Google News.
EDIT: These two are probably more reliable sources.
That was yesterday, and look at the last comment.
Now the Sun Times link leads to nowhere.

LOS ANGELES (AP) Bernie Brillstein, a Hollywood talent agent, manager, producer and studio head who over half a century guided the careers of "Saturday Night Live" comedians and helped package a slew of TV and movie hits, has died. He was 77.
Unless they got the wrong Bernie
Oh, okay. Good.
i can still find the article here:
but this really is weird.
ABCs NY station just reported it again citing the Sun Times as a source.
And the Sun Times has it on their entertainment home page
No confirmation other than a close friend?
EDIT - Seems an update from another source. - http://www.foxnews.com/story/0,2933,400842,00.html
Now CNN is reporting it.
Still nothing on the BBC, just that he was/is in hospital. This is all very odd.
It's the lead story on CNN's homepage. Sad. Thanks to everyone for using such due dillegence in reporting this story here on Macrumors. I appreciate the truth...
This is sad news...he was too young!
He was really funny!
RIP Bernie Mac
RIP Bernie Mac. I always enjoyed him in movies. I am thinking that Bad Santa= Bad Luck. First John Ritter and now Bernie Mac.
NY Times is now reporting he died of complications from pneumonia. What a shame.
Damn, that sucks.
even though i was never a big fan of his, this is just sad. he was young. my thoughts go out to his family.
