Actor Phillip Seymour Hoffman found dead in his apartment

Hoffman had quite the mix of drugs in his system when he died.

A New York City coroner says Philip Seymour Hoffman died from a toxic mix of drugs, the Associated Press reports.

Heroin, cocaine, amphetamines and benzodiazepines were what ultimately caused Hoffman's death, a spokeswoman for the NYC medical examiner said Friday. The death has been ruled an accident.

Anyone who's mixing Heroin, cocaine, amphetamines and benzodiazepines probably isn't thinking about responsibilities, and is more likely to be thinking about the escapism that addicts crave.
