For a pocket PC, 6.5GB is plenty. If you need more, just store files in the cloud and access on demand.
 
Go with the 32gb or 64GB.

(I think my math is correct)) If you get a 8GB its like paying $40 per GB vs the 32GB $10 per GB.


iOS4 is approximately 2GB. vs previous OS 3.1 1.5GB
 
Honestly, if you're going to shoot any video at all, or consider putting movies, you should go with the 32GB.

Well, it is not that bad. The above mentioned space is the available space for use on a brand new unit. Of course, it is hard to say how much space future updates of iOS would take.
