Quick question - when shopping in the ADC store, can you purchase both a MacBook and an iPod? It says a "one-time only hardware purchase" but it does not specify if that is for one piece of hardware or not. iPods are cheaper with the discount as well, so I'd like to buy a MacBook Pro and iPod to get both discounts.

So, I plan on walking in at my local apple store tommorow morning and buying a MBP if they get released then and I want to purchase the $99 adc. My question is how long would the whole process of verifying information take if I buy it today/now and would I be able to use it on my purchase tommorow and in-store rather than Online!

Yes...from the ADC store terms:

1. Your ADC Membership may permit you to purchase a limited number of development systems at a discount. A system is equivalent to one (1) CPU with one (1) monitor; one (1) iMac; or one (1) portable. You may also purchase accessories (such as a monitor, adaptor, or iPod) with each development system. You are limited to one of each type of accessory per system purchased. Discounts will not be applied to accessories purchased separately. Please see the ADC MemSite for information on the number and type of discounts available under your membership.

Your MacBook is considered a "system," and you can purchase one iPod (purchased at the same time) as an accessory.

ADC discounts are not available in-store...online only. You can sign up for ADC online today. If you fax your verification in immediately, you can usually be verified in about 24 hours. Once you're verified and the discount has been added to the "Assets" section of your ADC account page, you can then order the new machines online if they are released tomorrow.

I totally agree 🙂
I am about to move to New York this summer for my job. At this point, I am still in university (Amsterdam). I just checked on a Dutch forum: it should be able for me to apply for the ADC program in Holland and use the once-in-a-lifetime discount when ordering in the US. This is really perfect for me - just as a comparison: the low-end MBP is 1900 euro in Holland (just below 2500 US dollars).

Because I am on the discount tour now, I am wondering if I can also use the back-to-school rebate for the iPod Nano. I do not see the option in the ADC store, but I think this should be also able, right? The only thing is that I am not registered at a US university, but perhaps the accept your ADC account code. Anyone who can tell me a little more about this? 🙂

I will be attending university next year, and already have my student number/am over 18, but I don't have my courses selected or my student card yet. Is it still possible to register for ADC without a schedual? Or should I simply wait until I book my courses?

I'd call and ask. I sent them my id and schedule...

They need confirmation from the university that you're a student. Does your school have some sort of online system? Mine has a standard "Verification of enrollment" letter that students can request be printed out and sent wherever.

If you have that, you don't need a schedule.

Anyone know how much the ADC discount is in the UK, e.g. for the 17" HD 7200 RPM 160 GB MBP? Would it be cheaper than the HE discount?
