Hey all,

Since the new iPhones have been launched I guess their prefixes should be added to the iPhone forum.
Thanks.

Rather than itemize each separate model, we group them by series and leave it to thread titles to distinguish the various models with the group. For example, there's one prefix for the group comprising the 6, 6 Plus, 6S, and 6S Plus, and similarly one group for the X series.

Don't want to start a new thread, but since the this is discussing the interface can ios 12 be added to the hamburger drop down?

Many people are using the Other prefix because they don't see the XS model in the prefixes. There seems to be a minority using the iPhone X prefix however. The issue is we now have a mess where many Xs/Xr threads are in other and some in iPhone Xs. The ambiguity and confusion is muting the effectiveness of having prefixes, i.e., filtering on prefixes is no longer helpful

Also there is no prefix for the iPhone Xs Max, where as there are prefixes for iPhone 8(+), etc.

I would recommend renaming the iPhone X prefix to iPhone X/Xs/Xr and creating an iPhone Xs Max prefix

This actually lead to a lot of confusion in one of my topic. Because I selected X everyone just assumed I was talking about the X even though I specified Max in the discussion. I had to edit my post and change the topic to include XS Max to kept on track.

I know this is a one off occurrence, but it could impact others in a similar way.

After adding the other X prefixes, we updated the prefixes for the most recent 1000 threads, but we must have missed yours. Sorry! We've now fixed it.
