Well wrong, because the contact has at the momment no pc and there is no pc she be on, when the spam is comeing in adium:

How to prevent this? Greetz

Tell her to go to http://account.live.com and change her password, because it seems that her login credentials have been compromised somehow, and her account is being used somewhere else, probably on a remote server somewhere. Changing the passowrd (to something secure) should stop that from happening.

Go to Adium in the menubar, choose Privacy Settings and set your Privacy level as 'Allow only contacts on my contact list'. That should do the trick!

how are they getting your username in the first place?

I knew of this 'Privacy' setting from searching before.

But I had to start over with a fresh install.

This 'Privacy' setting doesn't show up until you create a account, select it and then choose 'only allow contacts'

Makes sense it doesn't show up until you choose the account you want to apply it to, but I still spent some time trying to find it.
Once I added my IM account, then it shows up.
