I'm afraid you guys aren't getting it. Adobe is NOT porting Photoshop or any part of it to the iPad. They are just using the iPad as an input device for Photoshop that is still running on a PC or a Mac. Nothing more, nothing less.

The iPad has little real world uses, but for something like this, the iPad might actually make sense.

Putting a Photoshop Lite (Raw processing basically) on an iPad, if it had ad hoc networking, would be a field photographers godsend. So yes, it does have the capacity to have real world uses. iPad2 will hopefully bring ad hoc.

Give me Photoshop, a stylus, and a good note taking application similar to Microsoft OneNote, and I'll buy an iPad immediately.

This. Exactly. The day it comes out with a stylus and the ability to take handwritten notes/diagrams, I'm there.
