Blocking activation does not block Adobe's sites.

Actually, there are some that do. It depends on where you got the list from, and of course which URLS it says to block. I found that at least one of them, that is not simply adobe.com will make whatever web browser you're using throw up an error about it not being able to connect to it.

I really hope they lower the price for CS6. I don't think Adobe understands that programs like Dreamweaver, Illustrator, and InDesign, aswell as Photoshop are some of the best creative software out there for the average consumer.

And with these prices, they are continuing to lose their base of potential users who are now going to alternatives. I personally don't use Dreamweaver anymore because I have Espresso that is so much better in comparison and cheaper. Pixelmator could be the next thing to take me away from Photoshop. What next? Clearly there's going to be a new boom of new developers on the Windows 8 side and I think Adobe needs to step up and bring us Adobe Touch quality work, with more options and a $100 or less price tag.

Please Adobe, Let us install on a Mac AND a PC!

Have Adobe made any information about CS6 licencing available yet?
I'm interested to know if CS will start using a cross-platform licence like the Elements 10 apps

I sure hope so!! I understand that the development at Adobe must be grossly separate between Mac and PC, and thus requires dual revenue streams to support, but in my opinion, that should be solved internally at Adobe by dividing up the pie accordingly within the company. Can't they simply count the number of activations on each platform? As a customer, I want to pay for a program that will work for me at home, perhaps on a PC, and while traveling, perhaps with a Macbook Pro. If both platforms are already being supported by Adobe, then why do they care if I am installing my extended license on one platform or the other? The cost of the software is hard enough to justify for an individual, especially when you have to consider multiple licenses to support the two platforms that many of us are forced to keep up. I understand that Lightroom and Elements already allow multi-platform installations. Can we have the same with CS6? Pretty please Adobe!!!! :)

I can't believe that I can run smart filters and all sorts of stuff on my T60 without having any real issues. Well then again I'm not a pro but it feels faster than CS5.

I'll definitely be buying it once it's available!

I see a lot of posts about Photoshop being expensive, and I agree and disagree at the same time.

Its a very powerful software, and its usually one of the cheapest parts of a workflow for people who use it, but there are a lot of people behind each release of Photoshop that need to be paid so I can understand Adobe charging what they see fit.

That being said I don't think CS3 or CS4 were worthy of the price tag by any means. CS5 put Adobe back to where it used to be, and CS6, from my experience with the beta is definitely worth the $600 price.

I personally would like to see Adobe charge $300. I think it makes it accessible to a lot more people. There are companies out there like Pixologic, makers of ZBrush who charge $700 for their software and have been providing free updates to the people who purchased their software, including those who first purchased it 12 years ago! and they have a much more complex piece of software than Photoshop with a much smaller user base. They can do it, so I'm sure Adobe can lower the price.

CS6 Master Suite

I understand where you are coming from but there are free 30 day trials and reduced "student" pricing available.

I agree there are "student Pricing" but for the CS6 Master suite I need for college the Student price is the same $1600.00 Sorry but college don't pay that well yet

I originally pirated CS5, with no intention of purchasing it (really just for occasional home use, not profit, but no big difference). After about 3 months I found myself shelling out the $100 for the elements verison.

If it wasn't such an amazingly polished and feature filled piece of software, I wouldn't have done it, nor would I have bought it if I only had 30 days with the trial software.

Piracy isnt 100% negative for adobe, maybe like 85%, but in this case, it sold them another copy and got them another long-time customer.

No, it's not.

It's $799, or you can get student pricing on Creative Cloud for $29.99 a month. Creative Cloud would prove to be costlier if you need it the entire four years, but if you need it for shorter amounts of time, you can save a lot.

Also, do you really need everything in the Master Collection? Are you doing web, print and video?
