Also, while Affinity has great software, especially at the price point, it really is lagging behind without AI. I also predict that Affinity will never have AI without a monthly subscription to cover the costs of hosting AI cloud computing.
Welcome to the MR where the main theme is to complain about everything.Adobe apps are crashing 50% of the time? If that were actually the case people would not be using the software. I speak from experience spending every day using Indesign, Illustrator and Photoshop. I can count the number of times any of these apps have crashed all of last year on one hand.
Adobe is a company like any other, trying to make money by providing a product people want. So not sure what makes them any more crooked than any other company. People were angry at Serif for selling to Canva, are they crooked now too and unworthy of your money? People want Adobe, their subscriptions are growing (last time I checked) and they offer a great service in my opinion. Again Adobe is not being made for those casual users who want to tinker with photoshop or make a flyer for your community bbq. They are pro apps for pro users. And by pro I mean people who make their living with their software.
Industry has shifted, very few companies offer one time payment now. Apple is one of the exceptions.Good to see the app. But hate the subscription model. Quite costly. Adobe should consider having one time payment option. But don't think that will ever happen.
This is avatar, not a pie chart. This is apparently how much free space I have left in my Adobe cloud account.
What kind of pie chart is this? Why is that part in the lower right-hand corner weird?

Thank you. I'll have to get it fixed. This is avatar, not a pie chart.
Even HP wants to make their printers a subscription service.Industry has shifted, very few companies offer one time payment now. Apple is one of the exceptions.
Hardware wise is a different thing and I can wholeheartedly be angry at this with everyone else. But if you want up to date software with constant new features I'm afraid this is necceseary evil.Even HP wants to make their printers a subscription service.
Those who need it for their work? Yes.[Inserts "you guys are getting paid?" meme]
You guys still subscribe to Adobe services?
Who stopped you from using Adobe CS6? There are legit ways of activating the software still. Of course you have to be using an old version of Mac OS. This is where Windows is much better, they don't have these apps being obsolete with an OS update. You can still run software (if you wanted to) that is 25+ years old in Windows 11. I have software that would cost be $7000 for a used version with reg dongle just so I could run it in a newer Mac OS. Developers and Apple really take people to the cleaner on this.Got tired of being tied to Adobe, went to Affinity and Pixelmator, where you can own the apps outright. I had bought PS and AI CS6 outright and they stopped me from using them. Goodbye forever, Adobe. No more.
Photoshop on the iPhone does not require a subscription. Like most apps in the market, there is a free version with, actually, quite a lot of core functionality (unlimited layers, masks, most selection tools, etc), with the option to upgrade to a paid subscription for a few more tools.Subscription? Nope!
This is the way. Those who need it for their work? Yes.
Those who need an occasional editing of a photo? No.
