No....it's not. Your brain manipulates raw data from your senses every moment of the dayYes, but perception is a lot different to photo manipulation.
Psych 101 lesson. Thanks. But this is different. Manipulating photos is the act of projecting additional biases and fakery onto an image instead of leaving it as it was captured and allowing viewers to interpret it without the tampering.No....it's not. I noticed that 15 is download-only. There doesn't appear to be a disc-based installer anymore - previous versions would let you buy a disc containing both the PC and Mac version. Now, it's download-only and a separate purchase for each version. And the Amazon price is not discounted from MSRP.
Shameful. Hopefully my copy of PSE10 will continue working after upgrading from ElCap (where it works fine but crashes on exit) to Sierra.

And yes, add into the mix receptors differ between us... You never read this article, that's clear. 20+ years means nothing, you'll want to treat it all like it was your first year and are continually learning. Turning frowns into smiles, adjusting squinting eyes, faux motion... how ridiculous. It has nothing to do with perception. This is entirely manipulation. Just let the captured image stand. Just give us the raw footage and let us embrace the pure spontaneity of a photograph. No one here is stifling artistic interpretation. Jazzing up photos with photo-bling is really a pointless endeavor, it has nothing to do with artistic interpretation.Perception is riddled with biases.
I've been doing this professionally for 20+ years and frankly don't need your opinion on this matter. Imagery doesn't have to reflect 'real life' because animal perception doesn't either and cameras themselves don't capture 'reality' - they only capture what they can within their technical limitation.
And then we come to artistic interpretation - where any attempt to stifle an artist is quite offensive.
