The only way it would happen is if the individual tech was a jerk or had issues. People get caught peeing in coffee and doing all sorts of messed up stuff all the time.
Give the OP a break if he is sure he didn't spill and they say he did it is a natural concern. Nobody who did whether friend or tech is likely to admit it because of the personal consequences.
