I've used Together for years to organize my online teaching files. The document preview works better than Evernote and the ability to cut and paste out of documents or just glance at something in a document without opening it are real time savers for me.

This is the first I am hearing of this program! I went to their site and I am digging what I am seeing. Going to download it tonight and give it a whirl! The only thing I don't know if I will like is your limited to just iCloud for backup. I would like to see another cloud service like Dropbox or the like for saving to. My Evernote library is over three gigs alone. This is combination of articles, notes, photos, webclippings, and pretty much anything else I can throw at it.

The price seems kind of steep, but I will still give it a try. If it works for what I am looking to do, then it might be a must have.

I've used Circus Ponies Notebook for years, and still do. I may just continue until it stops working!

I just recently tried both Notebooks and Together. Both of which just seem not much more than a specialized Finder app, especially Notebooks. They just aren't the organizational tool Notebook was. I also like(d) Microsoft OneNote when I was a Windows user, but found the Mac version dreadful.

Edited February 2018: CPN no longer works in High Sierra. I ended up using Growly Notes as a substitute. Although it does look more like One Note than CPN. For notes to accompany my writing I can to the realization that the ability of Scrivener to hold every type of reference material and keep everything with the document being written was a big plus I should have been doing all along.
