Wow ... that sucks. I've used this software a lot. Any good alternatives (for Notebook)?

I downloaded the Together trial version. It not only looks good, it also works good.
I've been using Notebooks for a long time, but the Mac version isn't moving forward as I would like. Too bad, because the iOS version is quite good and has more functionalities.

Another alternative could be Outline

I like Outline a lot on the Mac, however it has some short comings. One being, there is no iPhone app. The ability to embed a PDF file and set that pdf to be included when doing a search is another. The search will reveal the name, but won't dig into the actual pdf file like evernote.

I am going to check out Together though. I have also used Notebooks, which I like, since they have an app that is set across all devices. But the note taking and embedding of PDF files is sorely lacking or none existent.

I like Notability. I have the iPhone and iPad versions as well. Notes sync well across devices.
I've used Notebook since it's inception. I considered getting the updated last version (hat works with El Capitan) but decided to just leave it alone.

Do you use OOP? I am just curious since there is a step price to get started with their products.

Do you offer trial versions of your Mac apps?

We sure do! If you’d like to try out our software before committing to a purchase, we’re happy to offer a 14-day fully functional trial of all the Omni applications for Mac. This is the best way to spend some hands-on time with our apps—with access to all the same features you’d get with a paid license—to determine if they’ll be a good fit for your use.

Damn thats a shame. I haven't used Notebook in years but I used it extensively through college. It was such a great program. It was so much better than Microsoft One Note (which is what I used before Notebook).

Looks like Outline released their iPhone app either yesterday or today. Downloading it now and going to give it a whirl.

I know they have test versions, but I was wondering if the person who recommended it actually used it.
I use it on iOS, it's a great option if you have the time to make templates and value having well structured notes. I use it to save notes of books I read and I used to review them weeks later, it works great.

It's not that different on Mac judging by the trail period.

Just purchased Notebooks and I REALLY like how I can sync directly to my Dropbox account, giving me access to each and every note, unlike Apple's Notes. The Developer is offering a discount for the Mac version. I bought both the Mac version and the iPhone version. Syncs perfectly!!

I have notebooks also which is quickly becoming my go to notebook. I have Outline, but I have had so many issues with syncing (dropbox) I am looking to go full time on notebooks. I also have Evernote which I really like, but I don't like the fact I am trapped in their product.

You can sync Notes to iCloud. It works rather well.

I've used it. Admittedly not in a while, but I've used it. I like it. The price is a bit steep for what I'd like though.
