Another thumbs-up for the iPhone 3G. I got one with excellent build quality, a superb screen, and everything working perfectly right out of the box. If there's anything to complain about, it's my sore back from standing in line for three hours. But that's my fault for giving in and not waiting a few weeks like I planned.
I was in Chicago and I refused to pay Marriott the ridiculous $15 they wanted for Wi-Fi yesterday (Sunday was fine, it was only $10). I decided to rely on my iPhone to surf the Web for news and e-mail, and it worked! I would never have dreamed doing such a thing before but now with 3G it's entirely possible.
Then, as I was driving to the airport, I decided to "fact-check" the cab driver and I followed the beaming blue dot all the way to O'Hare! It was a total trip to see GPS in action on my iPhone.
So, I saved $15 and was able to follow along via Google Maps, what a revolution! As the Taco Bell chihuahua would say, "I theenk I'm in love!"
