Naked here. Just take care of it.

I use a Griffin leather padded sleeve, as well as the black leather Smart Cover.

I wish I had the guts to let my iPad be naked but I really cant afford another one if it breaks or something happens to it.

Wirelessly posted (Mozilla/5.0 (iPhone; CPU iPhone OS 5_0_1 like Mac OS X) AppleWebKit/534.46 (KHTML, like Gecko) Version/5.1 Mobile/9A405 Safari/7534.48.3)

I prefer it with the case I have because it's easier for me to hold. I bought my iPhone 4 last year and love that naked. It's a beautiful phone. But I don't get that feeling about the aesthetics with my iPad2. But that is just me.

What worries me, is doing things like sliding it around on a table, where I set it down, worrying about something hitting the big out-in-the-open screen...

I want to leave it naked, but for a device all about portability and being everywhere, it seems risky...

The thing is the design is so beautiful you have to leave it naked.

However my 3 year old loves the iPad so I do use screen protectors and a transparent rear cover to preserve as much beauty as possible. Luckily, because I found her trying to draw on the screen with a pen today. Screen protector replaced, as good as new.

To compensate I get naked whenever I use it.

I ordered a clear back cover for mine and just received it today. Now I see that it just looks silly. There's nothing particularly wrong with the simple case/cover -- it just feels a shame the idea of leaving it on all the time… so I probably won't.

The reason I got it though is because I too feel a little irksome about placing the iPad directly down on a hard surface. Other than this new case though, I just use a smart cover and a simply suede sleeve from sfbags to sometimes carry it in. It might be nice to have this back cover around in case I need it, but I don't think that it's going to live on my iPad for extended periods of time.

Just get a film for the back, like Bodyguardz. It's smooth, not tacky like Zagg. You'll never know its there.

I actually have mine in an ipad 1 case with a shoulder strap. One my mom bought for her Ipad, but didn't like because it interfered with her purse.

It fit my needs, kept me from dropping it a second time, and was free. I can't ask for much more than that.

Mine never leaves the house so I have it naked. I use a blue smart cover so when I set it down on a table / hard surface, I put it screen down so the cover takes the impact.
