alot of people use the blackberry device so its kinda needed in my country if you dont want use their device but still communicate with the millions.:)

BB is still used widely in some parts of South America. This will help me communicate with my friends there.

Thanks, BB!

...
According to BlackBerry, there are still more than 60 million BBM users worldwide exchanging more than 10 billion messages per day. ...
LMAO you make it sound like they lost a long time ago... which they did though.

The issue if msjs are really in blue, is that he doesn't really like to talk to you that much :p

The safest bet is sending imsj from email to email instead of using the phone numbers.

haha cute :)

Email makes sense.

Hey, can you FaceTime for free iPhone to iPhone internationally via WiFi? I wouldn't see why not.

iMessages is in iOS and OSX, you just have to have Mountain Lion & up hardware.

I know but it doesn't let you drop down to send an sms through your phone connection to non imessage user on osx or ipads ipod touches was my point.

yes, even on 3G/4G/LTE is free since its all data. As long as both have internet connection you can facetime w/ no extra charge from carriers.

Clever advertising photos, showing young people on the screenshots, when the reality is another one.

BB is dead, and this is just a stinking messaging service they are still trying to push. Most users who switched away from BB already have the bad taste and won't be too compelled to switch their current messaging platform to BBM.

Who are still on BB? But I did see one lawyer using her BB a few weeks ago.

That's literally the one feature I miss about my android.

Wow. This news is even more boring and irrelevant than the non-stop stories about the iPhone 5C.

Maybe AOL should start sending free trial vouchers in the mail again.

.

But the 5C wasn't expected to flop, now BB is a different story...

When I installed the app I was able to input my email to wait in line as well as switch devices using my blackberry id.

A friend of mine just installed the app and isn't able to switch as the app isn't giving her the option to.

How is this possible?

It's like they are shooting themselves in the foot by giving away a part of their ecosystem.

I wouldn't say they're shooting themselves in the foot. This is more a case of "if you can't beat them, join them".

I wish Nintendo would do this and start developing games for iOS.

I never received the email. I just tapped the button that said I already received the email.

It said "Congratulations" and let me sign in. :3
