For you, maybe. I guess your usage is indicative of everyone else's?

The arrogance is astounding.

Yes, I feel like justifying buying the faster phone with the sharper screen and more battery life. Oh why, oh why did I do that?

I know! Faster is better! Sharper is better! Longer battery life? BETTER! :p

Agreed...but you need to add the preface for a mobile phone, not a iPad replacement. Why I got the 6 :)

The only review that seemed to matter to me was the phone worked well. And the battery life was over 10 hours. My ip5 has never gotten better than 5 usage hours since I got it. So I'll be happy.

I'm getting the 6. I work outside. Keep it in my pocket. No need for a larger phone for me.

As long as the battery life on the 4.7in I ordered is better than my iPhone 5...and by the opinions of some reviewers, it is (a day and half with daily usage - The Verge and with auto brightness setting it can even better some high end rivals according to WSG). I'm happy for now.

The general concensous seems to be the Plus is cumbersome at first but you will grow to love the big screen.

Why is the battery life such a big issue? On my 5s I rarely, if ever, drain it without being able to charge it. There are chargers everywhere. Let's face it, the three reviews that came out tonight, so far, all said the 6s was big, cumbersome, the one review the guy said he overly large hands and it felt big to him. If your looking for an iPad mini replacement the 6s if your phone, if you want a "mobile" phone the 6 is the real deal. Lots of denial going on in these threads...

Your battery must be a lot better than my 5S battery, also just because there are "chargers everywhere" doesn't mean I want to always plug my phone in and have it limited to being in one spot.

Exactly what I took from them as well!

True ...

The Guardian:
Too big. This thing’s too big. Waaay too big. It’s... actually, that screen is pretty nice, isn’t it? Wow, you really can get a lot of content on there, can’t you? Hey, my hand’s getting used to the size. It’s quite comfortable, isn’t it?

And that’s how it goes with the iPhone 6 Plus. I expected to find it far too big, and at first my expectations were met. But give it a few minutes, perhaps a couple of days, and you’ll find yourself strangely attracted to its huge-seeming screen.

Yahoo Tech:
The iPhone 6 and iPhone 6 Plus are absolutely terrific phones. They’re fast and powerful and well designed. There’s not a single component that hasn’t been improved. These phones are a delight to behold and to be held.

Come on guys. Stop with these threads. Both iPhones got excellent reviews. Both iPhones were highly praised.

I think I prefer the larger size, but it's hard to know for sure without using one. I think what I will do is buy a 6+ and try it, if I end up disliking the size I'll return it for the 6.

Regardless, I am loading r, g, b, and black images to my Dropbox so I can test for dead pixels.

What I'm seeing is that professional reviewers tend to: 1) care about one-handed use big time 2) want a smaller screen, with 4.7" being the absolute upper limit of what they would deem acceptable

What I'm seeing from regular folks is that it's way more divided. But maybe 50% think there is no such thing as too big, and 5.9" would have been fine. The 6+ is selling way way way better than I can fathom.

Now that Apple has catered to the big screen people, could they cater to the small screen crowd and have 3 new models a year? Good thing the 5s is not much different than the 6 aside from the screen and definitely not slower.

Had Apple introduce a 4" iphone 6, I believe that it would pick up at least 33% of all iPhone 6 sales.

The only real knock on the plus when compared with the 6 is the size. If you aren't prepared for that, you didn't do your homework. We should all know by now, the plus is going to be a big ole boy.

Trying the note 3 for a few weeks after having an iPhone was a terrible experience for me. I don't recommend users coming from iPhones to go into phablet territory, its mainly for converting Android users.

My decision came down to, if I go with the larger phone, would that allow me to cease usage of my iPad or Air and the answer came down to No. I never use my phone in landscape mode and to be honest If I do watch a movie or something on the go, well I'd still prefer the larger screen of my iPad or the Air.

So portability and still being able to utilize the phone one handed were more important factors to me.

I think you should keep your recommendation to yourself. I haven't ordered either of the new iPhones but I'm a long-time iPhone user, I currently use a 5S, I have used an HTC One (M7) which is almost the same as the iPhone 6 in size and have also used a Note 3, also has almost the exact same dimensions as the iPhone 6 Plus and had no trouble with either one whatsoever. The big screen was amazing. The phones are not that big. It's what's considered normal nowadays. People should stop panicking and people should definitely stop telling others what they should do or what they should go for.

I took a gamble and went for the plus .... my iPad 2 was due to be replaced this year but i'm hoping that the plus will be that big enough bump in size to mitigate that...

If it isn't and i end up not liking it .... i'll either ride out the year or probably have no trouble selling it on for nigh on what i paid and getting a 6 anyway.

All the reviews on the plus seem to deem size as a neg. Anyone who did ample research is aware of the size. For me - I don't care about one handed use or "pocketability". I'm also not on my phone talking for any long stretches, I actually hate talking on the phone unless it's to make plans etc. My phone sits on my desk at work, or a table at home, or my purse. I want to be able to read on this on my daily commute VS use my nook & I use the camera a ton. I've taken notice & am pretty much a 2 handed user anyway. The reviews just confirm my choice - and I can't wait to get it!

My husband, on the other hand, no doubt would prefer the smaller 6 for his own reasons.

What's best for one isn't necessarily best for another. I wish people would stop trying to be "right" or pushing that one's "better". We're all adults. Pick your phone, love it, and know the only person who has to be happy with your decision is you.

These threads probably won't ever stop. As long as you've got insecure zpeople trolling on here who just can't get over the fact that they had to make a choice and it may have been the "wrong" one you'll continue to see them posting as to why the one THEY chose is better than the other one. It's the only way they can hope to feel justified in their decision. Sad really.
