Three and a half weeks ago on 04/21, I was ecstatic to place my order for a 42mm Sport. Two days later, I decided I wanted the stainless steel and placed a second order. My Sport came last Tuesday which I promised a coworker I would sell him. I got to play with the Sport for an hour and fell in love with the watch. It was amazing, & everything I'd hoped for. The next day, I sold him the watch for what I paid (no markup).

My stainless steel still lies in processing purgatory, only to be updated on Thursday to the end of June. Over the weekend, I watched hundreds of others get the same ship date, including some who ordered on 04/10, pre-order day. It's obvious Apple has stopped shipping preorders the last 4 days, which most of us have theorized the idea of them stockpiling watches for store launches. This first had me very pissed off, but now, I just don't care. The idea of it taking some people almost 2 full months to receive a product is just not rational. I really don't feel like waiting another 5 weeks on top of the 3.5 I already have either. Im bummed and not happy. Which sucks considering how much energy I put into being excited just a less than a handful of weeks ago.

Who else feels the same way?

Just saying, you could have easily put this into another thread instead of starting a whole new one..

Aside from that, I ordered the 19th & still haven't got mine. After constantly reading up on it, watching a ton of reviews & unboxings. And after surfing these forums I'm slowly beginning to loose interest. Especially after hearing about all the random bugs.

But none the less mine is a gift to me so I'm not actually paying anything for it so I'll definitely be keeping it.

Stopping the orders to stockpile for in store purchases is nothing more than an unsubstantiated speculation.

What's your alternative? Would you be happier not getting the Watch at all?

I'd like clarification on this "bump." What was your original quoted range? Was it "June" or was it a date range earlier than June 22-29?

Seriously, this.

Some people are getting their watches weeks in advance of their quoted time. Some people have waited near 6 weeks so far. It's rough but has been full of pleasant surprises.

Patience, man. I know it sucks to hear but you've gotta pick up a hobby to keep you busy.

Have you considered the 38mm? Most sport models are shipping in 3-5 weeks, and the stainless steel models in 2-3 weeks.

My watch was shipped during the "4 day drought" of watch shipments. Ordered last Wednesday (the 13th), shipped on Friday, and is scheduled for delivery tomorrow. It's a 38mm SS BSB.

More like 2-3 days for the SS. Some even on the same day.

I'd never get the wrong size just to get it a couple weeks or so earlier and regret it for the rest of the year (or however long until the next refresh cycle).

See my other threads. I think a lot of people think the 42mm is the one to buy, but would really be better off with the 38mm. It should be close to a 50/50 split, given that about 90% of women would be better off with the 38mm, and about 35% of men, as well.

I think some take it too personal and serious. as long as I'm not charged until it ships. I don't really care.

I do remember your thread in which you stated that the employee you spoke with during your try-on indicated that many who were considering the 42mm eventually opted for the 38mm. However, 38mm is simply too small and clearly the wrong size for many of us. Of all the photos I've seen so far here, I can only pick out a few that can't go wrong with either, but for most of them one is obviously the better choice than the other.

I did, but the 42 Sport I received was so small (to me) I could never go smaller. In fact, I was so surprised with how small the 42 was, I had to check the box to make sure I wasn't mistakenly sent the 38!

The 38 is just out of the question.

I know how you feel, I was 100% feeling the excitment sap away as I saw all the bugs and complaints before mine shipped... You gotta just hold on. When mine arrived, it didnt have any of the issues everyone was complaining about, and all the frustration vanished. Definitely worth it.

When was it originally set to ship? The phrase "bumped" in the thread title is a little misleading unless you had a delivery date before june 22 previously...

You go ahead and not have interest in it. I've ordered 4/22 and I got June 22-25th eta, I'm happy.

Good luck to you.

Ordered two on 4/16, a 38 for her and 42 for me. Hers arrived 5/5 but she didn't want it so I used it for a few days.
Should have just returned it without trying it out as that is when the frustration of waiting started. The Watch was great to have and use but now I'm stuck with the 6/22 - 6/29 estimate.

The childlike impatience surrounding this inanimate Chinese made object, ownership of which is 1000% non mission critical for anyone, is profound.

12 months ago, the Apple Watch was merely a rumor. Prior to that, for your entire life, you somehow survived without one.

But now that you've ordered one, you can't possibly wait for it another minute. The nerve of Apple! How dare they!

If they had charged your credit card and held your money hostage all this time, I could understand some frustration. They did not.

If we could harness the analytical power, time/effort spent discussing tracking, shipping, the tears, and general sheer obsessiveness about the delivery of the Apple Watch, we could solve world hunger. Instead, from the hot air generated by this one forum, we are contributing to global warming.

Let it go people. It's a WRIST WATCH. You don't need it. You want it. It will get here when it gets here. You did fine without it your entire life. It's not going to redefine you when it comes. It's not going to give you whiter teeth or get you laid. I repeat, it is a WRIST WATCH.

Proof of a "bumped" date?

I hardly see a generic sometime in "June" date getting updated to a specific June 22-29 as being bumped.

This post should be a sticky. Although I may have to refute the part that states it won't "get you laid." :)

lol this post leads me to believe why are u even on this forum? apple has been working on this watch for 3 years from what i read and they announced it like 7 months earlier they had plenty of time to stockpile , this is why people are pissed off. poor planning on apples part, some people will be so pissed now they won't even buy it.

Sorry, you're right. No room here for sensibility. Carry on with the materialistic outrage.

P.S. California is running out of water. Enjoy your watch.

First of all i don't care about a government that gives out free **** to every free loading hood rat in cali thats why there economy is so **** , 2nd nestle gets all there water from cali also not my fault cali lets them do that, 3rd cali is already sinking into the ocean so i don't really care its a pretty useless state anyways. I'm sure apple will just change there headquarters whenever they want there rich so who cares right.

Wow. This post makes you sound *so* smart.

Still waiting to hear what the OP's original delivery dates were.

I doubt the shipping lengths have anything to do with store supply. It is most likely low yield rates for a brand new product, and the way Apple is selling them with band combinations in the box already. The number of SKUs is pretty high for an Apple product, and figure out which ones to bundle more of takes time. Plus a new product is always more difficult to make, it will take them a few years to really hit peak production ability.

As said above, be patient. It's just a watch. Go outside, find a hobby, and wait it out.

I think I understand what the OP means.

I'm starting to lose interest as well.

I've been a watch collector for many years and have many traditional mechanical automatic watches in all variety of prices. I wear a watch on my left wrist daily and rotate through a different one each day.

Originally I thought the Apple Watch would be useful to wear on the other wrist but with the delay it is really taking the shine off of the excitement and making me reconsider.

I think for many people the Apple Watch is/was an impulse buy. But having a two month wait leaves plenty of time for that initial impulse to wear off...

First off, California pays MORE Federal taxes than any other state so let's not talk about "useless state".

Secondly, check your "free loading" facts before you yap about how we are a free loading state.
