I’ve edited my original post and removed the distracting part. I repeat, it is not a troll post FFS!!

I looked at your post/thread history because I truly thought you were trolling, but seeing your prior posts, I realize you're not kidding.

Good luck on your journey.

You are absolutely correct! The green will be almost indistinguishable from the space grey from a distance and even up closer with any sort of case on it. Worse, the three identifying cameras will most certainly blend into the background of the camera bump at a distance. You will find yourself with a phone that most might mistake for for an Xs, or gasp, an X.

In summary:

He did. The OP is asking if he should stick with MG or go with Silver.
I don’t think he is though. I think the thread is simply bemoaning his/her regret—not asking for input on which to choose.
Not sure you did, actually :). He clearly asks whether or not he should keep the green or switch.

Where?

The purpose of this thread is to express regret and help others avoid making the same mistake.

And also, like I said earlier, now I can’t decide whether I should order my all-time favorite Silver and accept the fact that I’ll have to wait longer or just live with Dull Green.

Please could you stop criticizing and judging a person simply because they are not like you?

My debate right now is whether I should order Silver and just accept the fact that I’ll have to wait longer. Or should I just live with dull Green?

I’m not going to criticize you because my God there are enough people doing that already.

If I were you, I’d get the silver. I totally get what you are saying about having given into the hype, and regardless of what people say, there are definitely people who chose green just to be noticed as having the latest phone (even though the cameras should be enough for that, but whatever). Obviously there are plenty who genuinely like the color, too.

Just do what makes you happy.

All joking aside, given you do not live near an Apple store which rules out the chance of getting a launch-day phone in store, you have the following considerations:
- Look at the green once you have it in hand to see if your opinion changes. Stressing now about it won't help. You could see it in person and love it. It is by FAR the most popular color of the launch and will absolutely garner the attention you are seeking.
- If you hate the green, and knowing only white/silver will make you happy, you can ship back the green phone (or even refuse delivery) and order the color you want. But this will require patience as the ship date has slipped to the week of 10/8 - 10/15.
- If you live near a carrier store, you could go to the carrier store on Friday and try to get one before they sell out.

Those are your options. If it was me? I would do what I had to do to get the color that made me the happiest. Even if that meant having to wait. 2-3 weeks is nothing when compared to 12-36 months of hating the phone I was using.

Wait till you see it in person. If you don’t like it return it.

They are not criticizing him for choosing a colour based on hype, but due to the fact that the OP wrote and I quote "how am I supposed to show off that I have the newest iPhone if the colour looks dull and unrecognizable".
He edited it afterwards.

Just wait till the green comes if you hate it, exchange it. simple x

Ahh, yes, the internet, when it comes down to debating the most minuscule things between ‘Dull green v.s. midnight green.’ :D

Here’s a reality check:

If Someone can’t even properly/appropriately address the name of the iPhone color as Apple intended it, but yet they call it ‘Dull-green’, how does anyone take this thread seriously?

The problem with Green is that it hardly looks Green. The three cameras are far more likely to get noticed than the Dull Green.

Do they sell stickers you could attach to the back of the phone? For example, a huge sticker that says 11 Pro, or something? That could attract some eyes to let people know you've got the latest phone. Or are you wanting to keep it in stock condition?
