it was new and cool for a little bit but now I wanna go back to black front.

1. Cases look better on the black front phone. If I slap on a clear case on my gold iPhone, it looks weird. Black front with a black case (as I had before) was too sleek. Tried many cases and they all look terrible.

2. If you dim your screen, it looks silly with the white bezels since iOS is all white. If there was a dark mode this wouldn't matter.

Going back to black for the 7.

I wish they gave us an option for the black bezel with the different colored backs. I would have gone black and silver. It's the best looking combination Apple ever put out, short of black on actual black (not this space nonsense).

I use a case, generally, particauly now wtith kids, so it's not a huge deal breaker either way, but I'd still love the option.

I've done almost all of the combos and am very undecided at the moment with the next iPhone.

1st gen - black
3G - black
3Gs - skipped
4 - Black
4s - White
5 - White / Silver
5s - White / Gold
6+ - White / Gold
6s+ - Black / Space Grey
7+ - ?????

For those with a white iPhone, what kind of case do you use (if any)?

I disagree. In fact, I hold the exact opposite opinion. I used to only buy black phones and tablets until the iPhone 5s and iOS 7 came out. I feel like iOS 7 was made for white bezel devices, whereas iOS 6 and earlier seemed to be designed for black bezel devices.

Now I only buy white.

Been using black iPhones a long time (same for Android phones). Black is my favorite color. That said, I went to a white iPhone for my 6s+ and I don't regret it. I find reading text to be a bit easier. Since I do a lot of reading, I think I may stick with a white iPhone. I had a similar chat with someone who went white (Note 4) and they were making the same observations without me saying anything - that text is easier to read on a white bezeled phone. Maybe it's just us two, but I like it.

Also, walking outside in the summer doing Ingress (Pokemon Go) - the phone doesn't get as hot (white) versus (black). Probably helps the battery life a little.

That said, black is my favorite color and I really like black devices - they look a lot more "professional" imo.

@Channan - I agree 100% with iOS 6+ being for white bezeled devices (post above).

I did the same thinking i would like it. after about 2-3 months, i wanted to go back to black. I've had the black since the beginning. original iPhone > 3GS > 4 > 5 > now the white 6. If i don't go for the iPhone 7 (which from the rumors, i may not) i may go and try to get a black 6s on swappa.

With the exception of the occasional silver V60/V70, all of my phones have been black starting with the MicroTac. I like boring.

A DLC coated "space black" stainless steel iPhone would be incredibly cool. I have no idea if it would be possible to integrate antenna bands in a stainless steel body. The phone would also probably be quite heavy. But still …

I have black Att and white T-mobile. I like black more , for me it is more man color.

I've mostly gone with white front, so decided to go with black SE. I like the white front better.
It's funny how some of us go black thinking it's better, but only makes us appreciate white iPhones that much more.

I find the color choice to be a preference and switching helps you decide between a favorite color versus an acquired taste.

My 4s-first iphone was white and my current phone 5s is space gray as is my ipad. Now when I get a new phone in a couple of months-well either this month or next month after I find out about the iphone 7 I'll probably get the white phone again.
