But the question is, does the retina display increase the useability of the iPad? Or did it just make the screen look better?

I find this an odd comment, considering that a computer is for the vast majority of people a visual device, how can you consider a better looking display to have no impact on the usability?

DVD looks good, but I'd much rather watch a film on Blu-Ray.

THx a lot-----------APPLE sales tax

Really want to thanks you guys for helping me out

I made my final decision to buy a mac air since i see the retina display from my frineds..............I am not that impressed...........

I want to by a I7 8gbram 256gb configuration

Unfortunately it is not available on amazon . I do not want to pay for APPLE sales tax!

any way to avoid that????????

the retina laptops are flawed this year because of the weak graphics cards, and the 13" is even worse

next year Apple will have the GPU and CPU bump to be able to handle the retina display, then I will make my plunge to the 15" retina

I have the 13 inch rMBP and I love it. So light and the screen looks awesome if you do any writing or reading. I got the upgraded SSD option so it ran $1999.

At this point, I wouldn't buy a non-retina laptop. The screen just looks so much nicer.
