I like both

I like the large iPad when I am in my recliner surfing all the sites and playing some games that I have set-up on my iPads. But I loved the mini for all the other times that I am moving around (inside or outside) and when I am in my bed. The mini was hard for me to read (because of my bad eye site) but it was great for movies and games. I watch (watch abc) ch7 (live) so I can take it into the kitchen and continue to watch the news while cooking. I have been waiting for the mini2 w/ret to arrive. I ordered it at 12:05am on the 12th. It is suposed to arrive between 11/26 and 12/4.
I gave the mini to the wife to go along with her iPad 2 and iPhone 5. Her eyes aren't as bad as mine.

Funds aren't the issue, but I do try to minimize the number of devices I cart around. MBA+SP2+rMini or do I go MBA+iPad Air+rMini (1 lb lighter)?

I suppose if I was truly smart I could go SP2+rMini and leave the MBA at home, and use Windows 8.1 as my primary OS.

Realizing that this is MacRumors, so an inherent bias is built-in, but would you go SP2+retina Mini, or MBA+iPad Air+rMini, or just MBA+rMini (or iPad Air)?

If cost wasn't an issue, would you have both the iPad Air AND a retina Mini? Or is the idea of having two tablets (regardless of cost) a silly idea?

I personally don't like the idea of having two iPads. The main issue is that I would continually have to make the choice on which one to use...they are different, but there are so many areas where they overlap. If there was a way that they could be constantly in sync with everything then it might be okay, but there isn't really a solution to do that in real time right now (Every app does something different.)

rMini + SP2 sounds like a decent combo...but I would prefer having a laptop form factor rather than the tablet stand that the surface has.
