Ipad air 16gb space grey, yellow hue in bottom left corner in portrait. Strongest in that corner but dissipates as it goes up the left hand side and also to the right disappearing at about the home button. It is noticeable on white pages and when bringing up the keyboard. The keys on the left have the yellow tint while the right side is the normal cooler hue.

Had this with the ipad 3 (yellow and bad light leak).

It's like a bad dream relived all over again!

I had this. I took it back and opened another two with an Apple staffer before we found a good one. He said he'd been through three himself before he found one without the problem.

Even my eventual replacement has a slightly yellow cast on the left which graduates to more blue on the right, but at least the dark shadowy stripe is gone.

My left half of the screen is definitely more yellowish than the right half. Don't know if it's worth taking back right now because it seems like I'm not the only one with the problem.

My comment is helpful to other people who are seeing what I'm seeing and looking to find more information about it.

Your comment is the equivalent of walking into the waiting room of a hospital and announcing "idk what's wrong with you guys, I feel fine!

Oh well... You'll get over it. I'm not going to regulate what I say because you don't like it. :)

OK, I've been staring at my screen for 3 minutes but can't really see anything. Could someone take a picture and share?

If you don't see it, then don't look for it!

I tried to take a photo earlier but it didn't really show in the pic. It's noticeable on grey or white background more for me, right side near the edge is a different shade to the left.

Just got back from the apple store. They said its normal and the screen needs to settle for 4 weeks. Every display model we tried had the same issue too. I'll return it before the return period is up and try again at a different store.

We have had this issue to some degree with every model. The issue has also resolved to some level as time has passed. There is apparently an unresolved manufacturing problem with the lamination of this type of display that corrects itself with use (my guess is self generated heat in the display continues the curing). In a former life I worked in the rugged laptop industry we saw this more and more as screen resolutions increased and layer bonding became the norm.

I did have a similar problem with the iPad 3, although wasn't as obvious as this one. It either went away after a while or I just stopped noticing it.

Do yourself a favor, if you don't notice it, your golden! Don't try to find it:D enjoy your iPad.

Once you find something like this it will drive you crazy until you take it back.

I wish I never read this thread, as soon as I get my iPad I'm going to be looking for this now:(:D

I'm having the same issue. If if doesn't correct itself, within the return period, I'll be exchanging it.

Does anyone else notice what could best be described as a shadowy line down the left side of the screen? It's about an inch in from the edge and most noticeable on a white screen. Think I should exchange?

Things like this have happened with every single release of every single Apple product ever made. Someone will always find something wrong with it.

Sometimes it's a legitimate issue (antennae gate) but sometimes I swear its their imagination.

Then someone will end up returning the item 3 times trying to find one that's flawless. Then they decide to wait a month, and try again.

So I just got mine swapped out, new one seems perfect so far.

I noticed it straight away on the first one, but haven't seen the issue anywhere on the replacement.

What did you say to the employee for your reason returning it?

mine has a blueish cast over the display. i'm not crazy about it. I prefer my iPad3's slightly warm tone. will be returning it.

I went back to get mine replaced. The specialist there saw it immediately, and swapped it out no questions. Unfortunately the second one also had the same issue, and he was also unhappy about it and opened a third...which also had the same issue. I use my iPad to display music scores a lot, so it's really obvious with all the white. I ended up just taking the third one. Will use it for two weeks, and if it doesn't go away, I'll be returning it.

Screen issues here as well. Backlight bleed in the top right and a strange brownish/redish hue in the bottom right corner.

Going to let the screen burn in for a few hours on full brightness and go from there.
