Airdrop not working

The Airdrop on my iPhone 12 Pro Max seems not to work in iOS 16 PB2. It can see my iMac and also the iMac can see the iPhone. But in the iPhone it says just "Waiting". Can not see any error messages on the iMac. Yes, of course both having Airdrop enabled. Any ideas?
 
it was like this on previous beta too, i noticed it on my ipad pro
 
On ios16 now and this is doing this on mine and my husbands phone. Did y’all ever find a solution?
 
This happened to us yesterday as well. Went to AirDrop a link to someone sitting 5 feet away from me they wouldn't get it. Made sure AirDrop was turned on for Contacts only - we're both contacts in each other's phone...obviously. Never worked. Texted the link instead.

Both on iOS 16.0.1 on 14PM.

Having this problem also. Just gets stuck on "waiting" but the receiver never gets a message. 14PM > 14P and vice versa

Can only send under "other people" but not contacts. No issues sending to my own devices.

Happens when my husband sends to me as well. I have a 14 Pro and he has an X.

Did you try turning bluetooth and wifi OFF, hard resetting, and then turning back on? Also try to change the phone number/email tag connected to the iphone in contacts to "iPhone" or "iCloud."

Worked fine for the first 10 or so transfers a few months ago. Then it started getting erratic. Then it got quite unreliable. Now the most dependable way to transfer files is by attaching them to a new Note, then syncing phone to Mac or vice versa. Kind of a non-Apple hack. Sad!
 
Doesn’t work between iPhone XS Max and iPhone 12 Pro Max anymore either. The other device just doesn’t get a pop up to receive it. In fact, the other day I got the „failed“ pop up randomly a day later!
