Airplay shuts off when iphone 6s goes standby

I have the same issue but for me a workaround works. Please can you test this to see if it works for you too? I noticed that if I have a live photo on the lock screen - then music via airplay or whatever app via airplay will shut down. If I choose a still photo everything is working just fine. I'm on 9.1. I'm not sure but I think live photo worked in previous ios9.

I have seen this workaround in a lot of forums. Unfortunately for me it doesn't work. What works for me is pressing the power button to bring back the lockscreen. Then when I play from the controls on the lockscreen the video or music works well even if the screen turns off.

I'd love to know why I have this issue on my iPhone but not my iPad Mini. Not using live wallpaper at all.

Fired up the old Apple TV hoping to get some AirPlay action from my 6S+ to the big screen.

No such luck. As soon as my screen goes to sleep the stream stops.

I don't have a live photo either.

Running with 9.2.1. Which hasn't been the greatest update.
