I thought there is an upcoming Apple announcement around 10/26?

I'm thinking during the financial results call on the 25th they will announce preorder on wednesday the 26th and availability on Friday the 28th.

But just like the iPad Pro, the stores will get them on Thursday afternoon

Ah yes that's true. They are supposed to be announcing the new MacBook Pro

Its inevitable that a black Airpods version will be available.

Hopefully, sooner than later. I suspect it's all about the Apple branding to have a white version at this time. ➰

I dunno... Don't get me wrong, I REALLY hope they release a black pair of AirPods, but I highly doubt it'll ever happen. The white earbuds are quintessential Apple branding at its finest, and if they haven't released a black pair of regular earbuds, they're most likely not going to be releasing a black pair of AirPods (unfortunately). Fingers crossed that I'm wrong
