I don’t know if that video is proof of Hey Siri coming. They also showcased teleportation as a watch feature.

I don't understand what this means. If they are talking through the phone, how come they don't just use the hey siri in the phone?

Not me. Would rather a Google not track my every move and instead use a very capable Siri for most things.

The old tired narrative of Siri being terrible needs to be re-evaluated and updated with new facts.

There was a study recently where Siri performed better than Alexa and Cortana and was MUCH improvement over the last year.

In an 800 question test, Google Assistant was able to answer 88% of the questions correctly vs. Siri at 75%, Alexa at 73%, and Cortana at 63%. Last year, Google Assistant was able to answer 81% correctly vs. Siri at 52%, Alexa at 64%, and Cortana at 56%.

Bull! Siri still sucks! Try real life quiries, I can’t stand Siri results. Also, google search results far exceed siri’a Default search results.

Lastly, Siri is such a joke, try it’s translation for a good laugh. I always get, sorry, can’t translate that from Canadian English. google has no issue with it....

And when you switch to American English (which is the exact same), the translations are horrible!

Do you work for Apple?

Give me 3 specific examples why she sucks.

I just tried translation to Chinese and Japanese. Flawless.

More expensive or the same? Any bets?
Apple has consistently raised prices on every device over the last few years when they have updated them. Examples include MacBook Pro (2016), iPhone (2017), iPad Pro, MacBook Air and Mac Mini (2018). While the AirPods are an accessory and might be treated differently (when they launched they were actually price-competitive with other true wireless earbuds), I am 100% certain they will see a price increase.

Is it really strange that people use different things that work better for them in one way or another and might be different from what someone else finds as being good for them? Fairly basic reality in play.

I don’t think Apple with add a lightning port on the AirPods case but I just hope the included cable is a USB-C to Lightning and not the USB-A. But I guess the new setup process definitely means there’s hope for the new AirPods and possibly AirPower releasing very soon!

I love my AirPods, best product Apple has released in years. But I’d need a lot more than just Hey Siri to upgrade to gen 2. Don’t need or want the health tracking, but waterproof would be great.

Sure, but they survived tests of washing in machine and being submerged in a tank for 30 mins. How much more "water proof" do you want them to be? Surely you don't expect to take them diving...

Now that I think about it I don’t think I ever used Siri via my AirPods. It just seems too silly doing it outside where people can hear you

Hey Siri, Airpods need noise cancellation and volume control.

Noise cancellation?? With earbuds? There is no isolation so the noise will just go around. These are not the Apple in-ears with the rubber isolation.

Use it all the time. Put on Airpods, wait for the familiar “ding”, double tap to activate Siri, “Call home” or some other command.

I'm still wondering how this communication with Apple's Siri is supposed to work in families where one of the family members are named Siri. Could lead to some confusion...

”Hey Siri”
”Yes?”
”Yes?”
