Bottom Line: The AirPods 3 are Apple's iconic earbuds that have a universal comfortable fit

Strongly disagree with this! Used and loved the AirPods 2 for years, was excited to upgrade to the 3...and they promptly fell out of my ears with normal, every day use. Had to switch back to the 2.

I just can’t get on with the in-ear stuff, it gets uncomfortable after a fairly short period. Plus I couldn’t get a good seal with any of the AirPod Pro 1’s silicone tips. The app that tells you if the seal is good would show a good seal for a few seconds but even talking would cause them to move and break the seal. So I sent them back after just a few days.

I’m mostly very pleased with the AirPods 3. I went through three pairs of AirPods 2 because the microphones kept dying but so far I’m still on my original launch day AirPods 3 without anything going wrong with them and the battery life is still as good as when they were new.

The improvement in sound quality is great too, my only gripe would be the lack of tap gestures. When you’re on exercise equipment being able to slap your ear a couple of times to skip a track is much quicker than trying to locate and squeeze a tiny stem. I’m hoping Apple eventually get the message and bring tapping back. They can keep the squeeze gestures too, I just want the quick way of controlling playback brought back.

Why Apple still uses dynamic drivers on the airpod? Those days you can find in-ear planar drivers for less than $120 on the market, those drivers use less energy to work and creates a faster transient response (ELI5: the time required the drive to change the frequencies it's playing, like imagine the time required to make the driver go from 100hz to 1khz, in most dynamic drivers it's not that fast and can be imperfect), giving more clear audio in all frequencies, it's snap quick. Those drivers make my old Pro's sound like a bommy wasp nest.

I've had my airpods pro 2 for 2 months already, and I love them. Sound and noice canceling is amazing, and that is coming from Bose QC35. The only problem I have with the Airpods Pro2 is, that on an incoming call, when I press the earbud to answer the call, it takes like 10 secs for me to listen to the other person. So most people calling me just hang up.
During those 10 sec aprox, I feel how my airpods try to connect, (noise canceling turning on and off, left-right-left) and so on, until finally I can hear the other end.
Things I have tried:
- Restart airpods,
- Unpair
- Factory restore
- (on iPhone) forget network settings.
- Firmware update and OS update

Nothing, nothing helps.

I have no problems whatsoever when making a call.

Has someone had this issue?

G.
I had a similar problem with my APP 1.
When someone calls I press the bud for answering. Then I say my name or something.
Nothing happens, the person can't hear me.
So I have to say it again, with maybe 5 seconds delay. Then the person hears me and start to talk.
Most of the time anyway, sometimes they hang up, like you described it.
So it's a delay of about 5 seconds.
This happens EVERY time.
I also checked my iphone when I've get incoming calls, if my AirPods are connected to the iphone, and yes they are.

This is not the same problem like you have, but it's very annoying.

I also have a ton of other bugs, but that's a story for a rainy day😊

iPod Air Pro 2's are the worst product of apple I own!
I dont like the how fast they drain the battery (without NC).

And when I'm in bed and I just want to insert the left POD, it does NOT connect.
I need also to insert the right one for my iphone 14 to recognise the airpods. Annoying.

You’ve got a bum pair. Install the Apple Support app and chat with them about setting up a repair or replacement.
