Why do these comparisons never include audio fidelity? Sometimes specs don’t reveal everything, how do they sound?

Most likely because testing the audio quality requires more knowledge about sound. These editors write about specifications and rumors of specifications.

After the AirPods Pro 2, I wouldn't recommend the Max because they were so similar in so many ways. With the AirPods Pro 3, I would actively talk people out of the Max. The Pro has surpassed soundstage and sound quality of the Max. And the Max is FIVE plus year old technology! A usb-c port and new colors does not magically make it a new product.

Most people I see with the Max just wear them because of the status symbol and have no clue about sound. Who with knowledge and aiming for sound would spend this amount of money on the Max?

Today, my Airpods Pro 3 starting making this weird beeping sound, with a blinking green light. Can't even figure out what it means (they are charged), and it was literally right next to my new iPhone 17 Pro. Is this a feature? LOL

Probably this means your heat beat stoped?
